Summary

A trouble-making cat at a wedding reception. A murder at a wedding. Murderous clowns?

Trinity Ashford and her friends are in over their heads this time. When a man is found murdered at Trinity’s best friend’s wedding, clutching the bride’s missing diamond earrings, Trinity sets out to find out who is stealing from the people of Waterfall. Not only is she trying to solve a mystery, she’s trying to plan her own wedding and renovate the “haunted” house her fiancé purchased for them.

Trinity and her friends decide to spend a night at the house to see why the neighbors believe it to be haunted and find themselves terrorized by three men in clown masks. What are they looking for? Tunnels from the prohibition days are found under the house. A loan shark turns out to be the key to the mystery, and Trinity wonders if she’ll live long enough to see her wedding day.

Join this quirky group as they embark on another adventure…maybe their deadliest one yet.

A wagging good mystery

I enjoyed this fun cozy mystery. There is a lot going on in this book, from theft to murder, to weddings and buying new homes. All of which keeps it entertaining and the listener hooked. I liked the characters, especially the Waterfall girl sleuths and the trouble they get into, like sleeping in a haunted house. The author had a lot of fun writing this book and even put in some of her own experiences, which adds a touch of humour to the mystery. The mystery took a few different directions to where I thought it was going. even with the bad guy being obvious. A fun series and at book six shows no signs of slowing down.
As maid of honour the last thing Trinity wants to see is a cat stealing from the buffet table or hear about jewerly going missing and ruining the brides big day. But when she discovers a dead body hidden under a table she knows she can't hide it. The man is discovered to be clutching a pair of missing earrings but as jewerly is still being stolen Trinity and her friends can't help but starting looking in to it themselves, especially as the police haven't solved the murder. There investigation leads them to a loan shark who seems to be on there side and that when the threats and stalking begin. Who wants them to stop investigating?other than the police. At the same time Trinity finance buys a house and with its spooky past it adds to the complications. Could the thief have hidden the stolen jewerly in the abandoned house and that's why somebody keeps trying to break in? Or is it something more sinister? and can Trinity and the Waterfall sleuths figure it out before it's to late? Or Trinity says I do?
I liked the narrator. She always puts in an excellent performance and uses her voice well to bring the characters to life.
