The Sisters of Battle are the Emperor's most devout worshippers, fierce warriors preaching the purity of the Imperium and scourging their enemies with bolter and flamer. On a distant world, the Ecclesiarchy outpost of Sanctuary 101 was wiped out by an implacable foe - the fearless, soulless necrons. Summary
The Battle Titans of the Adeptus Titanicus are towering war engines, striding to war as holy effigies of the Omnissiah. Greatest of all are the mighty Warlord Titans, their weapons bringing righteous death to alien and heretic alike. Still reeling from a near disastrous battle against tyranids, the Pallidus Morr demi-legio is assigned to a new warzone, a nearby forge world which has fallen under the sway of Chaos.
Here their battered war-machines must fight alongside another Titan Legion, the Imperial Hunters. As city after city falls before the relentless tread of Chaos war machines, the Imperium's only chance of victory lies in the two legios putting aside their differences and fighting as one.

Weak start, Strong middle, nonsense finish
Im a big tread and titan fan so figured this book would be right up my alley. Its not... I mean the Warlord titan arguably isnt even the focus of the book half the time :/
The whole opening planet was fairly forgettable, though the initial section on Kitara with the cults is interesting and tense as soon as the lava starts exploding everywhere the book spirals downhill before some how jumping a shark :D A lot of the characters are one note which can be fine but half the POV characters are tedious and add very little if anything, just throwing of the pace of the main plot.
Disappointing really.

kinda boring for a 40k book, also not enough titan
really not sure if the authors read any of the other titan books the engagements are a bit bland and don't stand out as much to me as others. On top of this as a book about titans there's a lot of other characters pov which is ok but I find one of them a bit dull. performance is great except for the pronunciation of skitarii which being a book about titans comes up fairly often giving him a star less. gave up an hour from the end, the first 40k or Horus heresy where I decided to give up not because I didn't like it just because I really didn't care about the story and how it was going to end. if you're really interested in titans and the ministorum I guess this is for you I'd recommend any other 40k or Horus heresy book first such as Titandeath

Meh, the worst aspects of BL
I was looking forward to a good 40k Titan novel, for me this is not it.
The good
Good production values
Classic grim dark story
The bad
Sadly, Titan combat feels like a normal battle but with big combatants, distances are far too short for machines of this size
I disliked the main character and most of the imperial characters, the main character came across as annoying
I'd skip this and find some Titan action in other BL novels, I haven't got the 2nd in the series and have no interest in wasting a credit on trying it

Incredible narration. Struggled with story
First, let me say the narration was incredible. Really brilliant. I was ready to jump from my desk and charge in to war at some points…
Unfortunately I don’t think I’m as invested into Titans as I should have been to truly appreciate the story and characters. I struggled to keep up at times and and try and keep up with the names and what was going on
If you’re into your Adeptus Titanicus though I’m sure you’ll really enjoy it and I don’t want to put you off if you like titans!

Pretty good, lots of over the top action
This was a good listen, if you're already familiar with 40k books you'll be right at home here.
There's nothing ground breaking or new - every character is a cookie cutter 40k steteotype and the plot is pretty much exactly what you'd expect, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
The story is well paced and other than a couple of moments that verge on the ridiculous, it's generally entertaining.

Titans! Tyranids! Chaos! What's not to love?
Listen to the real reviews. I can't say exactly what is wrong with this book. I believe it must be a combination of the story and the narrator. The story has all the possibility of being awesome... but it's not. The narrator isn't bad, but he doesn't pull you in. Sadly, skip this book.

Mediocre but passable
Character development doesn’t start until about an hour and a half in. I bought this book mostly for some titan inspiration, but found the titan characters fairly flat and boring. Everybody in this book is a grimdark stereotype. The preacher is bombastic and quick to anger. The titan princeps are haughty and quick to anger. Just about everyone in this book is quick to anger over the slightest insult. If you’re hoping for something along the quality of Mechanicum, I think you’ll be sorely disappointed.

Excellent audio book
As a new 40k fan and player the story was hard to follow at first (note this is my first audio book) but within the first hour I was deep into the story and was loving it. Great for listening to while panting 40k. This book had excellent narration and not one bit of audio cut out even when on a road trip in the middle of the desert with no signal.

Ending wasted my time
Decent start, fantastic middle, and the worst ending I've listened probably ever. Seriously, I can't over state how well the story flows in the middle of this book. All the character decisions and actions worked so well. But the ending, good god the ending literally ruined the book for me. It's nothing but pointless grim dark stacked together just to say it's grim dark. Simply put, the ending made the 8 hours or so of this book feel like it robbed me of my time.
