Summary
When 25-year-old Sophie Nouveau inherits her grandmother's voodoo shop, she knows nothing about voodoo. Or her family's history of Mind Changers, who have the power to change evil people good. To complicate matters, someone doesn't want Sophie in New Orleans and sends a series of death threats to scare her away from her new enchanted life. Tipped off by her grandmother's ghost, Sophie realizes her mind-changing spell's been missing one magic ingredient: true love. If Sophie cannot experience transformative love, she cannot make her spell work, and she will be powerless to fight back when confronted by the one who wants her dead.

Eerie and good.
I have always had a hard time with Voodoo, it scares me to my bones. This was worthy of the scare though. Wonderfully narrated.

Absorbing story, brilliant narration
I very much enjoyed listening to this audiobook. The author strikes the perfect balance between character development, the evolution of personal relationships, and the action at the center of the novel. Voodoo Butterfly works well as an introduction to the series, with characters being introduced at early points in the book, while the exploration of their hidden depths continues for a good deal further. I was especially interested in the balance between the belief and practice of voodoo and Catholicism, which so richly abounds and intertwines in Camille Faye's depiction of New Orleans. It isn't something I had considered before, or indeed was aware of, so this was particularly striking to me. The narrator captured each character perfectly, I thought, mastering their range of age, gender and accent with deceptive grace and ease. I would definitely recommend this.

Thought provoking!
I received this book free and I am leaving this review voluntarily .
I wasn’t sure about this at first as Audible have it under chick lit and that’s not my scene but it was really really good.
Sophie inherits a Voodoo shop in New Orleans after her Grandmother passes away but she knew nothing about her family or their legacy as Mind Changers.
The concept of a Mind Changer had me pondering what a much better world we would have if their were people that could do this and take someone’s evil side away although I’m not sure I would want all those butterflies sacrificing.
I enjoyed Rachel Music’s narration she did a great job as Taj and Jacks accents .I’m happy to see there is more books to the series and I am hoping they arrive on audible.

Very good
I knew from the beginning I was going to enjoy this. The narrator has a voice I enjoy listening too.
The beginning introduces us into what to expect. Voodoo, paranormal & other things you will have to read or listen to it to find out.
Very good

Team Taj or Team Jack?!
This was a very interesting and thought provoking book, set in the rich and vibrant New orleans and family roots filled with a mysterious voodoo magic. Sophie heads to New Orleans to find out about her deceased grandmother Serafina, she discovers a possible new life filled with family, purpose and new love, she just has to have faith. Not everyone wants her to claim her birth right and an intense love rival adds to the confusion. I really liked loyal and supportive Taj, I found Sophies magnetic attraction to the mysterious Jack worrying, I can't wait for the next book.

Voodoo listen!!
I really enjoyed this listen. It starts out great, I felt it lagged just a little lags a little, but overall is a great story.
I think the narrator was really good. I would definitely listen to more books read by her.
I liked the New Orleans charm as well as the voodoo culture. The female characters were strong. I look forward to continuing this series.

Joining the Family Business
I absolutely loved this mesmerizing story about a young woman who goes to New Orleans to attend her grandmother's funeral and investigate her inheritance and ends up discovering a family, a career and a new love. Her new world offers loads of benefit and a sense of belonging but it's not without it's dangers.
I love the New Orleans mystique and the voodoo culture and the strong female characters that populate the book. Sophie is both strong and vulnerable, with a streak of determination that I found completely lovable. Surrounded by Poppy, Taj and the enigmatic Jacques, they make for a colourful and entertaining story which remains hopeful and positive in spite of it's dark themes.
If you love stories about New Orleans and the occult like I do, you'll love this one.

This was a very enjoyable listen.
It starts out great, lags a little in the middle, but winds up wanting more.
Perfect choice for narrator.

I liked it!
Interesting and entertaining story involving the mysterious New Orleans and Voodoo with a twist. The characters are likable and believable. The narrator did a good job with providing unique voices for each character and appropriate tone inflections for each scene. I received a free copy of the audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Great story, even better narration!
Voodoo Butterfly written by, Camille Faye, is quite figuratively a breath of fresh air. The story is set in New Orleans and has a strong female for the lead character and is quickly challenged much beyond what she expects (supernaturally)
The narration by Rachel Music was beyond spot on as, she seemed to have mastered many different voices, male and female alike.
The were no gratuitous sex scenes, nor was there any hardcore swearing so I would probably make this a rating of a pg-13.
If you like this review, as well as the audiobook's description than by all means buy a copy and enjoy it for yourself!

Mostly the name and cover drew me in, then the New Orleans in the teaser drew me more! Really loved it. A new concept in paranormal so I really enjoyed that. Do have to say. I was routing for Jacque!!! Hopefully others will enjoy as much as I did, and now I find there are 4 more in the series. not sure if all on audible, but I'll be dipping into those as well!!! love butterflies!!!❤
