About this listen
The Shadowmaster is back... whether you wanted him to be or not!
Jackson Blackwell, The Shadowmaster, is in over his head this time. After his last adventure, where he tore fantasy novels a new one, Jackson has to deal with the repercussions of angry gods, angrier conspirators, and the wrath of his pregnant girlfriend!
(I know... actual consequences in a comedy/action series? How avant-garde! - I think. Okay look, I really don't know what that means. I've always just wanted to say it and I'm too lazy to look it up.)
Thanks to a godly decree and a crafty clause, Jackson has been banished from his home. And the only universe kindly enough to take him in is one infested with comic-book-style superheroes and supervillains. A perfect place to cause mayhem, right? Well, it wouldn't be much of a book if it were.
Comics don't play by the rules, and Jackson has been tasked to do something unique. Whatever is a villain to do?
Follow the adventure of Jackson Blackwell as he attempts to manipulate his way back to the top while dealing with all manner of dark detectives, godly aliens, expensive power suits, and the most daunting challenge of all... looming parenthood.

GOOD BOOK
I have over 300 audible titles and I have to say that the narration and performance of this book is one of the best I've heard. It's a compelling universe with a great story and awesome characters

I am the Shadowmaster, fear me!!
Jackson Blackwell, The Shadowmaster, is again up to to his neck in trouble, as he ends up exiled from his own dimension to the comic realm. Good follow up to book one, with Jackson at his evil cunning best.
Well narrated by Jeffrey Kafer, as he is also drawn into the story.

Darkly Witty
Where to start... well before we begin to stroke the hubris of the man who see's reviewers as those wishing to impose their opinions onto others I should mention that this book was read by myself and my other half who now wishes to read the first in the series as he found it darkly enjoyable.
Another highly engaging, darkly witty commentary on the superhero realm and the fantasies of those who follow the series as well as the paradoxical links to all realms. Whilst Lydia didn't take such a visible role in this book the Shadowmaster's relationship with her and need for resolution created a beautiful symmetry along with the chaos and surroundings that he ended up in. With many a link back to the first book it provided hours of mirth as well as another mind engaging story. I would highly recommend this series to anyone who wishes to be mocked, dark humor, a tearing apart of their favourite realms and many a hint at various, highly unusual sexual exploits.

Made me laugh out loud.
Really regional story, I just couldn't stop listening. I was absolutely gutted to discover the third installment wasn't available yet.
