About this listen
The immortal valet, Jeeves, shimmers to Bertie Wooster's assistance time and again in these side-splittingly funny tales. Whether saving a cabinet minister from a marauding swan, rescuing Bertie's chums from bowls of proverbial soup, or arranging unhingeing performances of 'Sonny Boy', Jeeves' genius (and Wodehouse's) is unparalleled. Especially concerning the extraordinary incident of the punctured hot-water bottle! Tuppy Glossop, Bingo Little, Sippy Sipperly, even Bertie's formidable Aunt Agatha - all have reason to be grateful to Jeeves. But Jeeves' greatest achievements is, of course, in saving Bertie from himself.

Pure escapism!
Love these books. I’ve embarrassed myself in public more than once giggling at Wooster’s antics, all the while learning about the human condition in all it’s ridiculousness. Jonathan Cecil like Jeeves always delivers satisfaction!

Variable quality
Goodness know what original Audible is using for this. We get alternating half hours of either some dense, slowed down speech (as if an overtight tape was being used), or else a more brighter 30 mins. Jonathan Cecil, as usual, cannot be faulted, but if I'd bought this on tape from a shop, I'd have been taking it back to be exchanged as faulty.

Very good Jeeves
I have heard both Jonathan Cecil and Stephen Fry read Woodhouse.
Where Fry is good Cecil is simply outstanding. His impressions of Bertie and Jeeves makes the Woodhouse world come alive.
Loved his reading of Psmith in the City as well! Looking forward to reading many more.

brilliantly read
Jeeves and Wooster as it should be read. Off as orff is just right and Jonathan Cecil gets it right every time. Recording quality is variable but I can forgive it with the intonation and witty reading. I don't need to tell you about the stories - if you don't know them just buy and listen. If you do know them just buy them and listen again.

The best
The best collection and the best reader of Wodehouse. Unbeatable! Why do we have to put 15 words minimum?

Entertaining
First Jeeves book I have read. I didn’t find it a laugh a minute but it was entertaining. I listed to the majority of it as I drove up to Scotland and like Jeeve himself the book made a pleasant companion.
