About this listen
Seventeen-year-old Aiden can't wait for his upcoming camping trip. A week in the woods with his guy friends is the perfect escape from reality. Especially when all he's accomplished so far this summer is daydream about Susie, his neighbor and lifelong crush. When his parents hire Susie to house sit while they jet to Paris for a romantic vacation, Aiden doesn't know whether to laugh or cry at being stuck in the woods while Susie hangs out in his house.
After an unfortunate accident cuts the camping trip short, Aiden is sure he finally has the chance to win over Susie's heart. But he returns home to total chaos. Susie fell in love - with a pillow-eating Rottweiler who tore apart Aiden's house. But after one look at Susie's face, Aiden can't bear to drop the dog off at the shelter. The race is on to get the Rottweiler trained and his house cleaned up before his parents return.
And maybe, just maybe, Susie will finally see in Aiden what she sees in the rotten Rottweiler....

Very Enjoyable Read
I really enjoyed this book, it's nicely paced with great characters, the story is very well written, it's entertaining and humorous. It keeps you nicely engaged and draws you in. the characters both human and canine are very likeable with plenty of depth to them, they are brought to life with great narration. Josh Horowitz's narration is really good and his ability to use different voices and accents where needed for each character give the story a life of its own. I would certainly recommend this book, espescially to people who enjoy the Teenage genre although it's almost 50 years since I myself was a teenager.

A tale of teenage angst and romance
If you were expecting some sort of Sci-fi story about a dog, you'll be disappointed. This is a teenage coming of age story about a boy and a girl adopting a stray rottweiler - or trying to adopt what turns out to be the most vicious, aggresive hound ever. There is a lot of amusing boy-banter and a lot of boy-girl angst. Well written and well narrated, Well worth a listen if you like this kind of story.
