Honest, heart-warming and insightful, An Unsuitable Boy is both the story of the life of an exceptional filmmaker at the peak of his powers and of an equally extraordinary human being who shows you how to survive and succeed in life.

YouTuber and comedian Lilly Singh has finally discovered the answer: triangles are the perfect model for building your self-esteem and getting to know your own values. Triangles have a strong base; they're hard to knock-over and always retain their own shape, even when they grow. With her incomparable sense of humour and fun, Lilly explains how she has put the ethos of the triangle to work in her own life, and shows how you can do the same.

This is my story, from a crumbling apartment in Central Falls, Rhode Island, to the stage in New York City, and beyond. This is the path I took to finding my purpose and my strength, but also to finding my voice in a world that didn't always see me. As I wrote Finding Me, my eyes were open to the truth of how our stories are often not given close examination. They are bogarted, reinvented to fit into a crazy, competitive, judgmental world. So I wrote this for anyone who is searching for a way to understand and overcome a complicated past, let go of shame and find acceptance.

Here, I am indeed Cicely, the actress who has been blessed to grace the stage and screen for six decades. Yet I am also the church girl who once rarely spoke a word. I am the teenager who sought solace in the verses of the old hymn for which this book is named. I am a daughter and mother, a sister, and a friend. I am an observer of human nature and the dreamer of audacious dreams.

The first story Selma Blair Beitner ever heard about herself is that she was a mean, mean baby. With her mouth pulled in a perpetual snarl and a head so furry it had to be rubbed to make way for her forehead, Selma spent years living up to her terrible reputation: biting her sisters, lying spontaneously, getting drunk from Passover wine at the age of seven and behaving dramatically so that she would be the centre of attention.

Powerfully engaging, passionate & brutally honest!
- By fay mansfield on 24-05-22
Summary
Brought to you by Penguin.
The thoughtful and revealing memoir from one of the world's most recognisable women, renowned for her bold risk-taking, multiculturalism and activism.
I am a product of traditional India and its ancient wisdom, and modern India and its urban bustle. My upbringing was always an amalgamation of the two Indias, and, just as much, of East and West.
Unfinished takes listeners from Priyanka's childhood in India, where she was raised by her grandparents and her parents - two army doctors committed not only to their children but to their careers and to philanthropy - before being sent away to boarding school at an early age, through her formative teenage years in the US living with extended family in the Midwest (Cedar Rapids and Indianapolis), Queens, and suburban Boston, where she endured bouts of racism, to her return to India, where she unexpectedly won the national and global beauty pageants (Miss India and Miss World) that launched her acting career.
Listeners looking for a glimpse into what it takes to succeed in the massive Indian film industry will find it here and they'll also find an honest account of the challenges Priyanka faced navigating her career, both in India and Hollywood. The result is a book that is warm, funny, sassy, inspiring, bold and rebellious. Just like Priyanka herself.
From her dual-continent 20-year-long career as an actor and producer to her work as a UNICEF Goodwill ambassador, from losing her beloved father to cancer to marrying Nick Jonas, Priyanka Chopra Jonas' story will inspire a generation around the world to gather their courage, embrace their ambition and commit to the hard work of following their dreams.

Excellent rendition.
Didn't think I would enjoy it at first but it's a good read. Was interesting to hear her difficulties as a child as well as an adult. She may have led a fairly privledged life but she had her own hurdles too. I like the fact that she wanted to help people from an early age.

Surprisingly good
I've never really warmed to Prianka Chopra as I used to feel shes too much....always wanting the limelight, needing to be centre of attention, showey etc... However, I have to admit, I really enjoyed her story, and loved how she narrated it herself. It was insightful to learn about her life and all of the things she's done including her work. She's truly a hard working, strong, independent women and deserves every bit of her fame and fortune. Her story is inspiring and beautiful. I would have liked to have heard more about her love story with Nick and life after marriage but the snippet we get is enough to leave you smiling.
An enjoyable read and I recommend it. Nina

So relatable yet so unachievable!
Beautiful memoir which is so relatable considering the geographical travel, Indian upbringing.....what I love most was the family support and encouragement throughout that has mad Priyanka Chopra Jonas what she is today......her parents let her express herself and supported her in bad times......and she blossomed in each field.....confidently also chose her way to design her life.....only regret is wish I was born 20 years later from my original date of birth to have lived admiring such powerful women who accept and talk about flaws and break stereotypes.
Thanks for reading this Priyanka.....that is the icing on the cake!
LOVE AUDIBLE!
