About this listen

To awaken and not know who you are is a crushing feeling. Panic and hysteria override all other senses. Strangers approach and terror builds within your chest. You hope these strangers, with their white lab coats, will bring an ounce of reason back to your jumbled thoughts. Instead they bring needles and knives that puncture your skin, introducing new horrors for your brain to try to comprehend.

This is the life Sentra is born into at the age of 24. She is surrounded by people who only cause her agony and pay no mind to her mounting questions. Sentra cannot even find solace in her dreams, where she is haunted by memories from a woman who died long ago. If the pain and confusion wasn't enough, Sentra's body doesn't seem to be entirely human and her detainers have far greater plans for her in a war she wants no part of.

All Sentra knows for sure is that she wants out and she will do anything to gain her freedom.

Excellent book

I have listened to Undying over and over again and love it each time I hear it. The story is original and Laura Jennings brings the book alive with her narration.

Sentra's character is well thought out and the struggles she goes through mentally and physically are well written and you really do feel for her when she is in pain or describing her nightmares. The overall descriptive aspect of the book paints a picture vividly of her surroundings and the people she meets.

If you love Sci-Fi or dystopia you will love this book, it twists and turns and has lots of penny dropping moments, when you manage to link something later with something she described earlier.

I have also been in touch with the author Corina Bishop and she is working on the second book as she is hoping to make this a trilogy. However she does have a life outside writing so I will wait patiently.

Undying

I felt that this book was darker, much more suspenseful, and more memorable! Once you start listening, it is hard to find yhe right part to pause. Good narration.

Great book. Great story

so I started this book thinking it was one thing and ended it with a total other idea!!!
It was fast paced enough to keep me interested but not so fast that I had a big info-dump that gave it to me too quick. I finished it on a ??? which I love and can't wait for the next instalment. I base the greatness of books on how fast I listen to them and how many extra jobs and cleaning I do to give me an excuse to keep listening. I did this one in less than 2 days. I can't go too much into the story without giving too much away, but this is well worth a listen. It's like a mystery/sci fi/action & phycological thriller with a bit of romance all rolled into one. I can one million % see this as a movie!!!!!
Hope I don't have to wait long for the next instalment

Impressed

What made the experience of listening to Undying the most enjoyable?

Not sure if this was my sort of book, but gave it a shot. Very well written and narration was great. Loved the way it was written in the first person, it made the story unfold very well as the chapters flew by. Book ended very well. I will be watching for the author for more any more books.
