Story
Melanie Stryder refuses to fade away. Earth has been invaded by a species that takes over the minds of their human hosts while leaving their bodies intact, and most of humanity has succumbed. Wanderer, the invading "soul" who has been given Melanie's body, knew about the challenges of living inside a human: the overwhelming emotions, the too-vivid memories. But there was one difficulty Wanderer didn't expect.

Story
One of Jane Austen’s most beloved works, Pride and Prejudice, is vividly brought to life by Academy Award nominee Rosamund Pike ( Gone Girl). In her bright and energetic performance of this British classic, she expertly captures Austen’s signature wit and tone. Her attention to detail, her literary background, and her performance in the 2005 feature film version of the novel provide the perfect foundation from which to convey the story of Elizabeth Bennet, her four sisters, and the inimitable Mr. Darcy.

I love Twilight Saga but "Life and Death" is awful
I love all the Twilight Saga books, I've listened to them so many times that I know most of them off by heart, when listening to it I know the words coming next, but I still love listening to them over and over. I was so excited to see a new Twilight Saga book. I saw the negative reviews saying that "Life and Death" is virtually identical but switching the genders but it didn't put me off, I love Twilight Saga so much, and repetition is something I love rather than dislike and thought it'd be an interesting twist on the same thing. However, it is almost exactly word for word the same with only slight variations on the names to switch the gender and the wording occasionally modified very slightly, but only with occasional words. I never thought I could dislike a Twilight Saga book, but I just can't like this one, there's nothing new in it.

Interesting concept
It was great seeing this story with the genders swapped for most of the characters! Beau is a much more relatable character and doesn't seem as self pitying as Bella did at times. However I feel that the gender reversal should have made more of an impact throughout the book. However the ending does have a difference... no spoilers! I know that Stephenie has said that this is a stand alone but I'd love to have seen where it could have gone! Well worth the listen and my advice try not to compare it all the way through!

Prefer Life and Death over Original Twilight
I have loved the Twilight books from the first time i read them not so much the films.
Since listening to Life and Death i think i would prefer this version to the originals i preferred the roles being reversed a female vampire being obsessed over the boy instead of the usual the guy being obsessed with the girl which we hear all of the time.
So i wish the original stories were based on Midnight Sun but with Beau Swan and Edythe Cullen and we followed Edythe's view on events which i think would have made a much better film series, But even better as a Tv series.

Read Over 50 Times and Still Love it!
I'm not too keen on the new 'Twilight Revisited' part, as it's very repetitive. I listened to the original first and then switched to the other one and it's almost identical from what I've heard about from the she is a he! In saying that, the original Twilight book is a young adult fiction piece of art that I happen to love. It may not be the best writing in the world all the time, but Meyer has a way of creating characters and a story that draws you in and you don't want to leave!
Would recommend for all the romantics out there!

Why the need for the change of sex?
I really didn’t like the direct role swap of nearly all of the characters, I mean, just why? The role swap characters said the same as the original characters so for me this new version was utter nonsense and if I’m brutally honest, boring. I only continued listening to it just to see if any of the role swap characters did change slightly as the story continued.
I was disappointed and glad when the story ended.
It was such a shame really as there was a real opportunity to write this book anew from Edwards angle.

Fantastic Book
Would you listen to Twilight Tenth Anniversary/Life and Death Dual Edition again? Why?
I would i found this book more in depth then the Twilight series and very much enjoyed it
What did you like best about this story?
Compared to Twilight, Bella was an amazing character but her common use of very large words seemed out of place for her character and would be better fit for Edward who was 100's of years older, in this book the Aged Vampire used the larger words more then the teenage boy it seemed to fit more, he used large words every now and then but i felt as if was melt to try and impress Edith rather then the reader, very enjoyable
Which scene was your favorite?
The Alternate ending, Very much a large surprise and sad, LOVED IT
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Never presume to think you know the story.
Any additional comments?
I truly loved this story but every chapter was so full of details until the last chapter for me at least, the last chapter felt as if New moon,Eclipse and breaking dawn were all written into this one chapter, granted it was well done but from every previous chapter being so in depth i was surprised at the last chapter
