About this listen

Turbo Twenty-Three is the pause-resisting new adventure for Stephanie Plum in the latest mystery from New York Times best-selling author Janet Evanovich.

A killer is out to make sure someone gets his just desserts....

Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum has been on all kinds of crime scenes, but this is definitely a first. Her fleeing target has left behind a truck loaded with ice cream and a dead body - frozen solid and covered in chocolate and chopped pecans.

As fate would have it, Stephanie's mentor and occasional employer, Ranger, needs her to go undercover at the ice cream factory to find out who's killing employees and sabotaging the business. It's going to be hard for Stephanie to keep her hands off all that ice cream and even harder for her to keep her hands off Ranger. It's also going to be hard to explain to Trenton's hottest cop, Joe Morelli, why she is spending late nights with Ranger....

Stephanie Plum has a lot on her plate, but for a girl who claims to have virtually no marketable skills, these are the kinds of sweet assignments she does best.

Lula, Grandma M and Ranger!

I love coming back to Stephanie Plum novels. Full of witty on liners, laugh out loud scrapes and improbable situations!

However, I now believe that I can never read a Stephanie Plum book! I can only consume it by audio book. Lorelei King gives each character such distinctive voices, that once heard, you would never need to wonder who is speaking! She is superb and completely spoils you against reading the novels yourself - even though I'm sure that you would still 'hear' the voices - Lula, Grandma M and Ranger are the perennial favourites!

And the story lines are always interesting and inventive, but somehow seem almost insignificant to the daily drama of Stephanie's life!

If you've never read a Stephanie Plumb novel, but saw the movie - don't let that dissuade you from listening to these. Go back to the beginning, you won't regret it! Enjoy!

Brilliant

The last few books have been a little same old same old but this i felt was much better and back to some of the earlier books.

I have now gone off ice-cream though !

Thank you Janet

As a fan of the Stephanie plum series I couldn't wait for this one and I wasn't disappointed.
I listened to the audiobook in the car and at times I was crying with laughter at the antics or Lula and grandma mazzer
Can't wait for the next one .
