Summary

Matt: Want to know the fastest way to get screwed out of a football career? Get photographed in a compromising position in a gay bar. Yep, welcome to my life.

My agent says he can fix my image. He wants me to become the poster boy for gay football players. Me? I just want back on the field. I'll do anything to play for the NFL again, even pretend to have a steady boyfriend. If only my fake boyfriend wasn't Noah Huntington III - the most arrogant, entitled rich guy in the world.

Noah: Pretend to be Matt Jackson's boyfriend, my best friend said. It'll be fun, he said. What Damon neglected to mention is Matt is surly and bitter. Being his boyfriend is a job in itself. From his paranoia over being constantly photographed to his aversion to PDA, being with Matt isn't the care-free fake relationship I expected when I signed on to do this.

It's supposed to be a win-win. I get to stick it to my politician dad who thinks no one is good enough for the Huntington name, and Matt's reputation of being the bad boy of football dies.

What I don't expect is to start caring for the guy. That's not part of the plan. Then again, neither is fooling around with him.

Good book

I really enjoyed the book. The story was very good. During the final hour or so, I had a little difficulty differentiating between Matt and Noah, however it didn't take away from how much I liked the book.

Matt & Noah

This is the second book of the series, and I originally read the books first and then grabbed the Audibles once they came available. I truly loved these stories even more after listening to them. They are witty, funny, sexy and fun. In this book, Matt is a newly outed football player in need of a Fake Boyfriend to help clean up his image after a scandalous coming out. Noah volunteers for the role to fulfill his own attention seeking needs. What results is not a lot of faking, and a lot of feelings being had. I’m a big fan of sports romances and when you throw in the “fake” trope it’s a read (or listen) I can’t pass up. Matt and Noah are characters you immediately love and begin rooting for. It was funny, sexy, hot and I didn’t want it to end. So much so I can’t wait for the next part to the series...whichever character that may be.

Loved

Loved this story and the two narrators just mad the story even better. Really hoping the author writes Talon’s story as well.

good story, decent narration

I read the first book and remember these characters, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that they got their own stand-alone book. the fact that I read the first book and then to audible I wasn't prepared for the Dual naratiors. when Matt was narrating I was totally fine with it but with Noah is my narating I felt like he was rushed, and I didn't necessarily care for it.
The story itself was pretty good, I could get into both characters mindset and feel their struggles.
The sex was pretty good.
I would recommend all the books in the series and I'll definitely listen to the next one.

Alexander Cendese

Alex should have narrated the whole book. Iggy Toma was terrible for Matt. Then it would have been perfect.

Great series

Great new series for me, I picked up this one right after finishing book 1. Again I went back and forth between audio & kindle, I loved Alexander Cendese for Noah, but Iggy as Matt just ....meh. This one was just like book 1, an OTT meeting transforming into a very real story. These boys had fire chemistry and each one had a story. Both of the M/C’s had issues to deal with and IMO the pacing and writing was great. Looking forward to the next one.
