About this listen

The information contained in this book contradicts nearly everything you've been led to believe about democracy and "representative government".

Based on the groundbreaking research of respected historian Carroll Quigley, Tragedy and Hope 101 reveals an unimaginably devious political system, skillfully manipulated by a handful of elite, which is undermining freedom and democracy as we know it. The goal of those who control the system, in Quigley's own words, is to dominate "all habitable portions of the world." Using deception, theft, and violence, they have achieved more toward this goal than any rulers in human history.

However, the Information Age is quickly derailing their plans. The immorality of their system, and those who serve it, has become nearly impossible to hide. Awareness and resistance are growing...tragedy is yielding to hope.

Essential understanding of our world

I believe that one day this will become the most sought-after bookie of our time.

I can not adequately express the importance of this book.

All children should be taught from it to understand the greatest tragedy and deception carried out upon humanity.

Scholarly but easily understood

This book deserves a wide audience. I knew of Quigley's work and so recognised the title of this book, others might not. It might just as well have been entitled "Whats really going on" or some such. Plummer makes an understanding of Quigley's work accessible to all. He skillfully summarises & quotes from the original book, Tragedy and Hope, whilst adding simple explanations of important subjects like False flag attacks, Fiat money & the Federal Reserve, the British & USA establishments today & in the past. Even if you are familiar with these subjects already, his book is a valuable refresher & is certainly an ideal introduction to people who should know more, but don't bother to look as they are put off by all the conspiracy smoke-screening. Well read by Joshua Mackey.

Essential in understanding international politics

Plummer's aim with this, (making the 1300 page textbòok Tragedy and Hope by Carrol Quigley accessible and distill its unique insights into digestible form), has been accomplished masterfully. I am sure this book is now considered essential reading in a few very select classrooms in a few elite universities.

Eye opener

If you don't want to wake up to the reality we live in, then don't listen this book.
I've always known that those sitting at the center of affairs of our governments are corrupt and mostly unscrupulous, but this book has opened a whole new dimension to this knowledge.
As I said earlier, don't listen to the ebook if you don't want to be confronted with the truth.

Great book - Even ‘normies’ can understand.

Tragedy & Hope by Carroll Quigley is a huge book. I wouldn’t call this an abbreviated version of that, this books just outlines some of the main points and elaborates on some aspects of history that didn’t occur to Quigley.
If you are wishing to understand politics or true history, this book is of use as an introduction.

A must read for Americans and Brits; accessible and comprehensive.

An incredible explanation and exposè into how the world is orchestrated today. The explanation of how money truly works is worth the read by itself however the reader would lose the context. As a ‘101’ book, it’s very accessible and easy to comprehend. A must read for all Americans, Brits, historians and those trying to make sense of a crazy world.

Not intellectual level

This targets very different audience than Quigley's Evolution of Civilizations. I haven't read other his books yet to speak more generally. Could be my error but I was searching for Quigley and found only this.
