Summary

Exposes vastly underexplored topics compared to other media reports and books on Jeffrey Epstein. How did Jeffrey Epstein manage to evade justice for decades? Who enabled him and why? Why were legal officials told that Epstein “belonged to intelligence” and to back off during his first arrest in the mid-2000s?

Volume one of One Nation Under Blackmail traces the origin of the network behind Jeffrey Epstein and his associates to the merging of organized crime and intelligence networks during World War II, following their most notable activities through the decades. Various scandals, acts of corruption, and other crimes throughout the last several decades of American history, many involving sex blackmail, can be traced back to these same networks, which have subverted and taken control of many of America's most important institutions for their benefit, and to the detriment of the public.

Brilliant book / horrendous narrator

This narrator is absolutely awful. She mispronounces so many names and words. It spoilt the book for me. Very amateur!

Excellent and important work

The content is an important record of the real workings of the world of power over the past century or so.
The narrator makes some irksome pronunciation mistakes for names and words that should be common knowledge for someone in that line of work, but otherwise a great listen!

Outstanding Research

Loved it. Did not struggle to finish it. On the contrary, every minute spellbound. Congratulations Whitney Webb, a masterpiece. Going to Vol 2 asap. The narration matches the quality of the book, a pleasure to listen to.

Thick in detail

Incredible tour de force! how whitney's brain didn't crack from the complex coherence of commercial and corrupt criminal characters is crazy.
If whitney expressive tone read the book I would get it again.
You are a courageous cat, well done!

Captivating, Eye Opening and Troubling.

The sheer density of this book, which is a huge information dump, leaves you in no doubt (if you hadn't already figured it out) that everything you have been told about the society you live in BY the society you live in, is at best misinformed, and at worst an elaborate psy-op designed to make YOU follow the law, while those higher up the pyramid break it continually and with impunity. And she hasn't even got to Epstein yet.

My only question at the moment is whether or not to listen to this again, or dive into volume 2.

Well researched.

The research that goes into Whitney Webbs writing is incredible. Places her head at very risk places but has dodged being a deep state statistic . Whitney and James Corbett are currently two of the best all side journalists.

Possibly the worst narrator alongside Danny Glover.

The narrator is amateur at best and takes the shine off great investigative journalism! What a shame
