If you haven't read book one: Just Me (you&me bad boy romance) it's best to turn around and follow that one first as this picks up where a cliff hanger finished off.
Katherine's newly rebuilt life is about to come crashing down around her when Tim, the abusive estranged husband she's been fleeing across the country to escape finally catches up to her during a date with an uninformed Ben at his best friends charity auction. Unsure how to react, Kathy leaves the party with Tim to avoid getting the adorable Ben involved in her problems, poised to run... she can't make herself turn her back on the connection she shares with the sexy CEO and turns up on his doorstep, bruised and beaten after an angry Tim takes out his drunken fury on his wayward wife. Finally telling him everything, Ben accepts her resolve to stay and fight for what they have and for a while it seems to have worked, Katherine evades her violent Ex but she knows it's far from over, he would never let her go. Proving that she's been right to run all along, he finds the bakery where she works with Thalia, leading to an arrest and this story ends on a cliffhanger (yet again). Tim may be out of the picture but as she files for divorce, someone may just have thrown kerosene over hellfire for the fury she knows her defiance will bring.

I will advise that the book does contain domestic violence. However, Lexy does not go into too much detail. You get enough information to know the struggles that Katherine has been facing.
This is the second book of Lexy’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. I had to listen to this audiobook in one sitting! I just had to know what was going to happen next with Katherine and Ben. The book does end on a cliffhanger but that wasn’t a surprise since it’s the second book in the Bad Boy Romance Trilogy. I can’t wait for the third book Kiss Me to be released on audio.
Amber and Tyler did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you like Bully Romances, Romantic Suspense, or Contemporary Romance.
