Kept me enthralled

Beautiful story. Slow to start, and I was initially confused by the many references to different characters, but I was soon hooked and I enjoyed the conclusion.

I went straight back and listened to it again!

this is so good and artfully written it prompted me to go straight back to the start and listen to it again!

this book is written in a way that is like watching someone else put a puzzle together or doing a card trick, with the end of the book showing the full picture leaving you wanting to do it yourself - I had to go back and knowing the finished picture, work out how the pieces go together.

EXCELLENT :+)

A bit of a twist

A really enjoyable listen. Great narration. I wasn’t sure I was going to like it during the first couple of chapters but the story really gripped me. The lead characters are so believable and their love story enviable. I loved it!

Highly recommend this book

What an interesting book and story, the narrator was superb. I did go back to the beginning to listen to the first few chapters again when I finished so I understood it better. Well worth it.

Intriguing and enthralling!

What made the experience of listening to Together the most enjoyable?

Great expression in the performance of the reader.

What did you like best about this story?

The resolution of the mystery.

Which character – as performed by Gemma Whelan – was your favourite?

Robbie was lovely, positive and practical. How sad was his decline?! But Emily was a wonderful, complex, compassionate character and it was to her that I warmed the most.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Going backwards was the only way to go forward.

Any additional comments?

I did feel that what needed to be said, could have been said at a quicker pace sometimes. When the pace slowed, I felt in danger of losing interest in the meandering details.

Heartbreaking

I will admit that I found it quite hard to get into this story but from about half way through, it became magical
I'm not a fan of romance novels but this is so different and has much more substance.
The characters are all so real and I found myself enthralled as the story unfolded
I may now go back to the start so that I can appreciate that more
Well worth 5 stars and narrated perfectly
