About this listen
Is it too much to ask for a fairy queen to have a nice holiday?
After accepting the role as Queen of the Exiles in Shady Grove, Alabama, Grace finds that being in charge isn't all it's cracked up to be. An influx of wayward fairies find their way to the newly established haven and seek the protection of the local fairy queen.
Grace and company are just trying to have a normal holiday when it's interrupted by a daily menace that escalates out of control. Add to it an untimely visit by a coven of witches, and the holiday is quickly going to hell in a Christmas decorated handbasket. Plus, Grace is sick for the first time in her long life. She might get some sleep, if her bard, Levi would quit banging his new girlfriend the trailer.
This hilariously mad romp leading up to Christmas Day has lots of love, giving, and havoc! Tissues may be required.
Tinsel in a Tangle is a down-home magical celebration of the holidays including the crazy relatives! Download Book 2 of the Fairy Tales of a Trailer Park Queen today!
Interview with Kimbra Swain
Q: Why did you write the Fairy Tales of a Trailer Park Queen Series?
A: I was born and raised in Alabama, and I loved the Urban Fantasy genre. I wanted to mix those two things, but remain true to the Southern traditions and values that I was raised on: family, community, and determination. The Trailer Park Series is my ode to the South.
Q: What is the most important part of the Fairy Tales of a Trailer Park Queen to you?
A: Every single character in the series is real to me. The development of each one is so important for me going through the series. Some of them, including Grace, start off with many flaws. I should say especially Grace.
Q: How much of Grace is patterned after yourself?
A: Oh, gosh! Grace and I are a lot alike. Sassy and smart. However, Grace is very compassionate and trusting. She's also got a mouth on her. She says things that aren't PC, but as her character develops over the series, she sees that there were things she was very wrong about. Grace's story is about becoming who she was meant to be, and fate doesn't define that purpose. She does.
Q: What are your future plans for the Trailerverse?
A: The main series will have 15 books with a short story anthology focusing on the minor characters. It is also going through an exciting new rebrand. I will be launching Wynonna's story this fall in Stories of Frost and Fire. The werewolf, Dominick Meyer, will also get his own series called Dog River Wolfpack. It will launch this fall, too. I have future undetermined plans to expand the Trailerverse. Follow my website and the Trailerverse site to keep up with the announcements!

Christmas Curse
This is a refreshing and delightful urban fantasy, it's super entertaining, it will suck you into Grace's frenzied world from the start right to the very end. The dialogue is brilliant, and the plot is humorous with loads of laugh out loud moments. Grace's perfect Holiday plans are ruined by a curse, trolls running rampant in town, and the jail cells are quick to fill. I had a wonderful time listing to this audiobook.
The narration by Keira Stevens is outstanding. She emulated the characters' personalities, the animation, and hilarity in the scenes, further immersing the listener. I thoroughly enjoyed her performance.
Tinsel in a Tangle is a perfect Holiday book, it's cleverly written with an amusing storyline and fabulous characters. I highly recommend it.

Read Bless Your Heart first
This is a continuation of the story in Bless Your Heart and I was glad that I had read that one first. The story was nice without anything standing out as either really good or bad. I like that it expands on the same characters from the first book in the Fairy Tales of a Trailer Park Queen series.
Keira Stevens is a fabulous narrator and she does a great job with her performance.

Perfect
I have quickly fallen for this trailer park Queen. Her phoenix is my new book boyfriend, yum. I love that you have every emotion throughout this audiobook. Especially great comedy and sexy steamy scenes (my two favorite!) Am already impatient to dive back into this great series. The narrator does a great job with all the characters.

A lovely revisited book. I enjoyed the characters in the last book and they certainly don’t disappoint again in this one. Fantastic performance from Keira.

Tinsel in a Tingle
This book is awesome! It continues after the first and gives us so much more depth to the characters. The extra mischievous ones were definitely fun listening to and wondering what mayhem they will cause next. Narration was done beautifully.

Trolls & Witches
This is a hysterical holiday listen with our favorite trailer park queen! Not what I expected in a second installment of the story, yet completely entertaining, this book gives us more of the life and times of Grace and her friends. Now that she has settled into being Queen, things should be looking up. But problems keep occurring. What is the cause? Could it be the 12 trolls of Christmas? This fun, quirky listen will keep you smiling through the holidays in wait of book 3 where we hopefully will be seeing more of the detective solving cases this cast of characters is so good at.
Keira Stevens brings them all to life with her amazing narration. This series really highlights her talents with the crazy cast of characters and she rises to the challenge. Another great performance you are certain to enjoy.

Brilliant and funny
This is a brilliant series. Grace, Levi and Dylan are amazing characters and you quickly become invested in them. Grace is the most unlikely queen you have ever come across. She is funny, sassy and a seriously strong woman with a heart of gold, well most of the time.
This laugh out loud paranormal action packed book will keep you riveted to the very last page.
Cant wait for the next one.
Highly recommended.
