Summary

He doesn't have a name. He doesn't have a clan. The humans who held him prisoner for 40 years have taken them away. He knew nothing but captivity until nearly a year ago, when he was released into the light. Now Tiger lives in the Austin Shiftertown, where he struggles to belong and searches for an identity.

Carly Randal thinks her fabulous life is complete - until her car breaks down on the side of the road and the only one around to help her is a wild-looking Shifter. Tiger takes one look at Carly and knows instantly that she will be his mate. As Carly is drawn into Tiger's Shifter world, she risks everything she has for that forbidden something she still wants: passionate love.

It was ok

I liked it more as it went on, but overall it was still just ok. I prefer Laurann Dohner’s New Species series.

WELL BOOK 5 WAS DEFINITELY MmmAGIC

Jennifer Ashley's Shifter's Unbound books just keep getting better and better and this one's the best so far showing that she has earned her status of being an auto download for me.

If you've listened to the other's in the series then you know what you're going to get - an action packed, shapeshifting paranormal tender romance with characters you can sympathise with, feel for, be happy for them and generally join in as their lives are challenged as they each fight for survival.

Tiger and Carly's story will delight you, anger you, sadden you but most of all it will entertain you for the full 10hrs 13 mins. I must mention Cris Dukehart who does an excellent job narrating this listen and skilfully breathes life into each of the characters.

Worth a credit? A handsome, mentally damaged and tortured Tiger shifter finds, claims and is obsessed with his mate and goes through hell to do it- delicious for any paranormal romance fan - so that folks isn't just a YES it's also a MUST HAVE series.

YEsss!!! I loved this!!! Tiger Baby!

Mannn I just couldn't wait till this came out. After Iona's story when she save Tiger is Shifters Unbound book 4... I knew Tiger's story would be awesome. Ashely has outdone her self with this one. They way Tiger thinks is simply amazing... I love how Ashely has Tiger thinking to himself one moment then talking out loud or to someone the next, to show how the detail process of how his mind works and thinks, just to show he is very different from the other shifters. I loved it. OMG! Then the TOUCH OF A MATE! This book actually makes the Mates valuable to the shifters in healing them...well for Tiger at least, because he is different. Then the end! OMG... how he is goning to be working for the military.. .YES!!! So awesome... This book was just awesome. A must if you have the other books... If you don't have the other books... get them so this one will make sense.

A buy!

The Best So Far

I loved these shifter stories but this one is my favorite. After being found in a cage, then liberated Tiger nearly ends up losing it all. The other shifters were all too willing to end his life or force him back into a lab. And a corrupt millitary officer wanted to use him as a weapon, breed from him then disect him. But his acts of heroism, his mate and help from the least expected source, in the form of another soldier originally out to hunt him, kept him free and put an end to treachery. He had his happy ending with a good mate and a cub on the way. It was a great story. I wonder if the next story will come in the form of a certain female bear and Tiger's soldier friend??? I wasn't a fan of Chris Dukehart's narrations because her accents weren't all that, but they have really improved.

Good story

Good characters in a good world. I've enjoyed most every book in this series and this was no exception.

Cris Dukehart does a fine job of the narration.

Monotone

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I am not sure if it was the preformance or the story. For me, it was just ok. Missing connections that I usually find in Mrs. Ashley work. Wired enough, it felt hurried and drawn out. The story itself could be cute but for me awkward.

Would you be willing to try another book from Jennifer Ashley? Why or why not?

Absolutly.

What didn’t you like about Cris Dukehart’s performance?

Her preformance was not my cup of coffee :). Her acsents and voice were good. But for me very very monotone. :(. She could of been reading the newspaper.

Could you see Tiger Magic being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Yes and no...the series is good this book .. Was my least favorite. And actors.. As longs as "300" like I would NOT be complaining.

Any additional comments?

I would suggest to read this one. And yes, I would recommend the series, but just because its another puzzle piece to Mrs. Ashley's world.

Great Book/Great Series

I love shifter novels and this series by Jennifer Ashley is outstanding. The narrator, Cris Dukehart is good but unfortunately she doesn't know how to pronounce the words "feral" or "experiment", the two most often used words in the series. So distracting.
