About this listen

Thomas was no one, an orphan with no past and no memories of his early life. The only clue lies in the strange birthmark on his chest, a mark that may or may not reveal his origin, but will certainly guide him to his destiny.

Growing to manhood he will become a man of consequence and influence, yet the greatest gift he has to offer his people lies not in his power, but in his wisdom. As he strives to reach his potential he will face obstacles great and small and he will discover that some foes are too strong to defeat with power alone.

The greatest of evils can only be stopped when those true of heart are willing to sacrifice blood, tears, and sometimes - their lives.

One of the best books I have read in a long time. Great characters, plot and narration. Shame it is only a short story.

Excellent

This is actually pornographic, which I didn’t expect from the first half! Definitely an interesting surprise.

It’s porn

Totally different to anything I have read before. Great story telling. Deep characters, I will not give details, as the secrecy and mystique. Wets the imagination. Alex Wyndham is as fantastic as always.

A surprise

I wasn't sure about this one, but I've read other books by this author so I gave it a go. I'm glad I did, tho I did find the narration style a little stilted, having said that, it wasn't so bad that it interfered with my enjoyment of the book.

Nice little tale

Did not get on with the narrators style to excessive emotionally on a constant basis. was distracting.

Decent Listen.

An enjoyable adventure- vanquishing the darkness.
The performance has an unusual cadence which I felt detracted from the story at times, lost some of the humour, but the character voices were good.

Lost a little in translation

I liked the story for the most part, but not the attempted rape or sexual assault.
The main characters interactions with the female lead is very frustrating and annoying.

Mostly good, except

Narrator was a distraction with his breathy, somewhat incredulous delivery and an irritating habit of ending sentences on a higher note.
