Summary
Award-winning and bestselling powerhouse author Kennedy Ryan is back with a compelling new novel in her Skyland series, following Before I Let Go.
Soledad Barnes has her life all planned out. She plans everything. She designs everything. She fixes everything. But none of her varied talents can save her when catastrophe strikes, and the life she built with the man who was supposed to be her forever, goes poof in a cloud of betrayal and disillusion.
But there is no time to pout or sulk, or even grieve the life she lost. She's too busy keeping a roof over her daughters' heads and food on the table. And in the process of saving them all, Soledad rediscovers herself. From the ashes of a life burned to the ground, something bold and new can rise.
But then an unlikely man enters the picture - the forbidden one, the one she shouldn't want but can't seem to resist. She's lost it all before and refuses to repeat her mistakes. Can she trust him? Can she trust herself?
After all she's lost . . . and found . . . can she be brave enough to make room for what could be?
For fans of Tia Williams and Colleen Hoover comes a deeply moving and personal novel about sacrifice, self-reliance, and finding true happiness from 'one of the finest romance writers of our age' Entertainment Weekly

I’m definitely re-reading it multiple times
The story is well written and an enjoyable read. This author (Kennedy Ryan) rarely disappoints.
I enjoyed the heroine and her self love journey has inspired me to read the Bel Hooks book referenced.
The hero is also amazing although a tad bit too perfect, in my opinion.
I loved how they both related with their children. Some of those scenes actually brought real tears to my eyes.
I think the one letdown for me was the female narrator. Her male voices weren’t very convincing and she didn’t really bring the heat during the spicy scenes.
Overall, I’d say This Could Be Us was definitely worth the wait.

Love yourself first
Kennedy Ryan is sooo amazing, I’ve literally read all her books. This book in the Skyland series has opened my eyes to a lot of things, about loving yourself, about picking yourself back up after you’ve been bent backwards, quality of good friends around you and then finding someone to love. I hope for all the girls out there who are on a journey of self love that we may all find our Judah.
