Summary

A revolution and a pandemic. A post-apocalyptic journey like no other. Life and death in the very near future.

The Scream of An Eagle
James and Anna were of the last generation born before the great dying. When the lights went out for the last time, James didn’t even know where Anna was. Determined to find her, he must first find a way to survive.

The Flight to Blue River
“You better come home; people are dying,” was not what Anna expected to hear. It didn’t take long for her to know who was dying. The question was, who survived? All forms of communication were as dead as most of the people around her. Did her parents survive? Did her brothers? And utmost on her mind, what about James? The answers are not to be found in Oregon. Anna has to find her way back home to the Blue River Ranch in Colorado, even if it means walking 1000 miles.

Apocalyptic Winds
For a new generation born into a post-apocalyptic world, time is running out. Not just for them, but for all of humanity. There have now been three generations of survivors –will there be a fourth?

Could not finish it, ridiculous story line.

This has to be the one of the least intelligent stories addressing a post apoc world I have ever read. The first chapters showed a bit of promise, the narrator did a decent job, but as the storyline unfolded, it went downhill fast. I forced myself to continue for a while and made it through the first two books of the trilogy, with considerable eye-rolling and fast-forwarding through sections, before deleting it in disgust.
The premise? A plague takes out most of humanity, and most of its tech infrastructure crumbles, yet solar power components are fine, for the most part. Climate change is assumed to be the culprit. White supremacists supposedly survived and have a plot to repopulate the earth with slaves. The few people remaining seem to be mostly women, with a few men attempting to get them all impregnated for the future of the species, but babies die shortly after being born.
I was continually experiencing 'cringe' moments as we listened. Just a badly written, implausible story, with classist, racist, and sexual themes woven throughout.
