Sometimes magic throws a curveball….
I thought I had everything figured out. I’d gone to the academy for witches and mastered my magic. I’d opened my own witchy occult store, just as I always wanted. And my family was as close as ever. Everything was going according to plan.
Until the wolves showed up and dragged me back to their land. It was all a misunderstanding. They had the wrong girl, the wrong idea. I was just a witch.

Great story
Another great story from chandelle lavaun. Great narrator but the Spanish was so frustrating as I do t speak it

Spanish talking - not happy
When Inez kept talking Spanish all the time I got extremely frustrated! I DON'T speak Spanish, however I understand your trying a different angle with this good on you but I don't pay good money to need a translate! Fortunately it phased out a bit in the middle but reappeared towards the end, a good book doesn't need these quedos to enhance your storyline, it's a good story, I thoroughly enjoyed it, it's part of the original storyline from the series yet could be standalone, so far I've read from the very first book & loved that so much I went to series two then three all these series had me laughing, crying, sobbing, cheering all very emotive yet brilliant, I'm about to go to book 3 (i hope) & hopefully won't find this one with a different slant on it, we've done east end of London now Spanish i'm kinda hoping the next ones are just English, please!
The storyline is good but doesn't beat the very first series - that was AWESOME - still very enjoyable & I'm not going to give anything away here!
However I am concerned that the last couple of books won't be available to listen too to finish the series, it's happened to every series I've bought so far, very annoying so let's hope it hasn't happened here!
Next book = The blood Witch...

The language
Description says English language but it has quite a bit of Spanish and even a little Russian, so I bought the title and the parts that was not in English I did not understand at all and to make it worse it wasn’t relaid in English either. Kinda hard to listen to a story you come to like and get into then keeps shifting to a language I do not understand. Kinda got on my nerves and for me ruined the story as rather than listen I spent more time be annoyed. Really wish this would be changed as I would be happy to repurchase and listen to again. Also I am getting super grumpy that I start a book get into the story’s and the follow on stories are not ready. With all the book’s written it would have been better to finish the stories started upload them before starting a new. Just a thought.

This was a really enjoyable read that incorporated witches, shifters, and more in a way that I haven't come across before.😍
Inez, a Spanish witch who now lives in New York with her sisters and stepmum, gets attacked by demons on her way home from work. She wakes up in the hidden shifter lands to be told about a shocking prophecy!😱
Inez and her friend Foster discover something very fishy is going on!💥
As great as incorporating Spanish into the book would be for Spanish speakers, I just found it frustrating.🫤 It meant stopping and highlighting to translate, all the time, to discover what the main character was saying. Otherwise, it was well written and enjoyable.😍
The narrator did an amazing job with the Spanish and Inez accent. However, she barely changed her voice for other characters, even the males, when it was a chapter in their pov.😳
I will read more books by this author, but I hope the narrator choice is better.🙏🏼

Brilliant
This is part of the coven series and once again excellent. Chandelle is a very talented writer who takes us on an incredible journey with very unexpected twist. Love Vanessa Moyen as an audiobook narrator
