Summary

Cultivate a wild and free family culture in your home and build wonder and adventure into your children’s daily routine with this essential guide from the founder of Wild + Free, packed with practical suggestions and imaginative ideas.

While every family has its own culture, Ainsley Arment believes that being intentional about how we raise our kids is one of the most important things parents can do. Drawn from her own family's stories and those shared in the W+F community, and filled with inviting full-color photos throughout, Wild and Free Family focuses on ways any parent can create an environment where wonder and adventure are part of the everyday fabric of family life.

Wild and Free Family isn’t just for parents homeschooling their kids. It’s for all parents looking for a better, more intentional way to connect with their kids. Ainsley teaches you how to set up workable (yet forgiving) routines that can help kids thrive and offers ideas for creating traditions that they’ll fondly remember and want to share with their own children.

plenty of solid advice

The family stories were beautiful and the advice is solid. Plenty of good stuff in there. I do have one complaint though, every time the narrator impersonated a child it made me cringe. I couldn't stand the whiney voices, so much to the point that I just had to turn it off.

A little disappointed

I am obsessed with her other book and preordered this one and binged it so fast. While I like the principles, I just don’t think it’s what I was hoping for. I thought it would be about going on adventures and wholesome family experiences and how to be that family. I found that it was more about virtues and stuff, which I liked but it just left me wanting more… more wild and free. The first book changed my life and I’ll forever love her for it. Maybe I’ll reread this one with different ears.

beautifully inspiring

not many books bring a tear to my eye in a good and soothing way; in a way that also help tear open the bonds on my belief that there is a different life for our family… thank you for the inspiration and for eloquently describing so many heartfelt examples, making this kind of (family) life attainable and worthy of each step!

A beautiful reminder 💛

I needed to hear so much of this book!! I needed to be reminded of who I am and who I am supposed to be 💛 Mama, nurturer, teacher, friend…a heart of flesh and stone all at the same time. Thank you Ainsley for writing yet another incredible book that has moved me to tears and simultaneously called me to press on, change things, and cultivate a more meaningful life for my family 💛 Thank you for calling us all to action, to be Wild + Free!!
