really is the dark dark future

great book that makes you wonder about what's lurking in the dark. some really good atmospheric ambient sounds makes you feel like you are there tagging along.
My only complaint is i wish it was longer, could have listened to a few more chapters easily enough

Emperor be praised it has a narrator!

A nice spooky tale that's well performed and features a Narrator, which means the dialogue isn't just characters explaining what their seeing.

Wish this was more common in Black Library audio books.

10/10 I just wish it was longer.

I’d rate this a 10/10, the performances were fantastic, which is what I expected from a cast such as this, everyone of them gave an amazing performance. The story was great, hooked me from the very beginning and gave me chills the entire way through. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone who loves Warhammer 40K or horror.

A short and not that powerful horror

The story has its elements of horror and dread, but the end it's a classic "to be repeated".
if it was longer maybe it had a good ending, but at least the start was very good.
It has elements of schizophrenia, egomaniac, zeolite that combine with the characters very well.
The atmosphere doesn't need pictures, being represented by the environment sounds very well.
In conclusion it's a good horror but falls short due to it's "to be repeated" end

Dead in Space...ahem, like...you know...???

The usual high quality of acting, though I wish the use of modern day regional accents which are becoming more common in 40K dramas could be toned down. There's no need for representation of Planet Scotland, Planet Cockney or Planet Geordie-it doesn't make it all more inclusive for listeners in those places, just a bit cringey and daft. Other than that the voice acting is good.

The story itself is very reminiscent of certain aspects of Dead Space-even the voices of one of the characters is close enough to think the producers of this had used the same filter. Still, it rolls along at a good old pace and I never once found myself loosing interest. The sound effects are good and help build the world, as does the occasional snippet of music. It's all very Grim Dark without a single space marine in sight-sort of Hammer House actually.

Well worth the price.

My first Audio drama set a bar

This was my first foray into audiobooks and audio dramas. Very much into all things 40k but this was a great, new & different experience for me, Props to the writer, cast and the ambient sound designers that brought this to life in a medium I’ve just fallen in love with.

Well worth it.

Watcher in the rain better

Sorry but it was pretty basic, watcher in the rains story was more intriguing, this was like a cheesy horror movie l. Low tier cosmic horror.
