Summary

A book of being, entitled The Ultimate Coach.

Dear Potential Listener:

As you may have noticed, there are no testimonials in this description imploring you to listen to this book. I vetoed that. The only testimonial I am interested in is the one you will have from listening to and experiencing this book.

Please do not listen to this book about me. Listen to this book about you. Listen to it about being. As you listen, ask yourself:

  • Who would I need to be to be a more loving person?
  • Who would I need to be to be a more effective parent?
  • Who would I need to be to create a level of confidence that is remarkable?
  • Who would I need to be to be at peace with who I am?
  • Who would I need to be to be fully in love with myself and my life?
  • Who would I need to be to live the most extraordinary life I can live?

I promise you that if you listen to this book with the intention of expanding your state of being, you will do exactly that. Your experience will be remarkable.

Who you are being is everything.

Loving you. Be blessed. Be you.

Steve Hardison

Steve Hardison is known in coaching circles, and business circles, and personal growth circles and any circle you can think of as "the ultimate coach", says Steve Chandler, renowned coach and author of 40 books. “He coaches way beyond the normal concept of coaching. To call him a mere life coach is like calling The Beatles a garage band".

To be coached by Steve Hardison is to have your world rocked. It is to explore the hidden corners of your soul. It is a journey for the lionhearted.

This book is not a self-help book. It is not a book about how to coach. But it is - as much as is possible without sitting in his office as a paying client - a way to experience Hardison’s coaching. It also provides a candid glimpse into his childhood, his trauma, and the things that nearly crushed him. It reveals his evolution into the highly sought-after coach he is today. And along the way it shares insights and experiences arising from Hardison’s interactions with prominent figures in the world of coaching and self-development, including Devon Bandison, Steve Chandler, Karen Davis, Dusan Djukich, Werner Erhard, Jason Jaggard, Byron Katie, Stephen McGhee, Rich Litvin, John Patrick Morgan, Michael Neill, Michael Serwa, Iyanla Vanzant, and others.

But Steve Hardison would not say any of this. He would say this book is about being. It is ultimately about you.

So, settle into your favorite chair, start listening to the book - and fasten your seatbelt.

Self indulgence by proxy

Was a 'clever' bit of reverse psychology... Nothing at all new in here .... lots of people blowing smoke up a smart guys butt. Maybe he is a nice guy in the flesh... The book waffled on and was just self promotion from where I saw it.

This will transform your life if read properly.

I listened to the audio, 4 times and after the 2nd listen I noticed my thinking changed about how I was showing up to life.
Please follow the instructions in the first part of the book and if you commit to listening to the book twice or more focussing how it can help you, you will notice a shift in your being and your commitment to every part of your life that you want to upgrade. Go on you deserve an upgrade and its from your inner being. Look out for The Ultimate Coach Facebook Group and the London Edition Group. I was an attendee relating to this book and again it cemented the powerful effect and change possible from this book. I've no affiliation to the authors or team, however I would love as many people as possible to benefit from this book.

Inspiring and amazing, yes, but....

This book, and audio is sweet nectar to the soul. It goes deep, really deep. I didn't want to stop. I listened to the whole book within 3 days, and I've set a goal to listen and follow in the book 4 more times to ensure the message wraps every part of me.
This is time for change, and this book being entitled, The Ultimate Coach, is the catalyst.
Thank you 💚❤️💚

A waste of a credit.

I had this recommended to me, but sorry to say I found it tedious, repetitive, and unoriginal. There was nothing in the life story or actions of this man that particularly inspired me or struck me as unusual in a positive way. In fairness, I have spent a lot of my life in coaching and training so it may just be the lense I am looking through, but I can't recommend this book.

vacuous testimonial based marketing for Steve

Apparently Steve Hardison is amazing. Other worldly. Worth every dollar of his 200k coaching fee. His clients are transformed beyond recognition.

At least, that's what this book tells me. The 50 odd testimonials that make up most of each chapter (there are even dedicated testimonial chapters you can skip easily) tell me this over and over again.

I learnt nothing of value except that Steve really wants clients to value his coaching and had a book written to boost his perceived value. Amazing, but tedious.

So why not zero or one stars?

Well, I got value from it anyway. Ironically, because of what I didn't like.

The gist of the book is that Steve transforms his clients by helping them create who they want to be, challenging destructive beliefs and replacing them with positive beliefs. He does this by "being Steve". There's no actual content to his method, though there are some techniques.

Ironically, reading so much about Steve being Steve helped me challenge some of my own beliefs about myself and take control of who I am to be more consistent with who I want to be and need to be.

... so perhaps it works.

But rather than paying the $200k and traveling to Arizona every two weeks, you just have to buy the book and wade through the cloying praise of this messaianic coach...

this blew me away.

Definitely a book of 2 halves. Biography 1st and then the most incredible inspirational stories. This has reinforced who I am becoming and my gifts. Perhaps as powerful to some as a coaching session with an awesome coach would be. So well worth the time to read or listen to. thank you thank you thank Steve Amy and Alan D Thompson. This is truly transformational.

Amazing beyond Words

I am thankful that this book has been suggested to me by Audible. I cannot begin to explain how powerfully it has impacted my life. Thank you Amy and Alex for writing it.

Funny, wise, touching and a must read more than once. I recommend it to anyone, not just coaches.

I just hope it will be read by as many people as possible. Thank you.

I’m free to be me

I listened to the whole book accept the last hour in two days. I couldn’t put it down. I saw me in Steve. The similarities were definitely divine.
My fathers name is Roy as is Steve’s. I been in Kentucky my whole life which is where his dad was from. I was Morman. I’ve had a close relationship with God since I was 8 years old. I love people so much. I listen, love, and hold space as Steve does. Unlike Steve I have been full of fear my whole life, I was afraid to live in my greatness. I could t even see me. I saw everyone else. Steve showed me me and gave me permission to be me. My heart, my love, and Holy Spirit are what make me a great coach and that is what the world needs and that is how I will fulfill the mission my Father in Heaven gave me which was to bring hope to the masses one heart at a time, little did I know the first heart was to be mine.
Thank you Steve for being you, for being me, for being us.. I love you so very much and I am so grateful that you listen to the nudging of spirit so that I could have access to you:)
I’m making declarations for me and my family will make them as well and we will have one as a family.

Here is mine
We are love !! I am spirit, I am love, I am joy, I am hope, I am here to listen, here to remember and share truth with my brothers, I am infinite abundance & possibility. I am as God created me, I am the mouthpiece for spirit, and Gods errand girl. I am my heavenly fathers child, I am a truth bringer and light keeper, I point others to the truth and I allow that truth to awaken with in their soul and I love them through that process. I am curious and joyful like a little child. I know that I do not know what any of this is for but spirit does and so I step back and let spirit/love lead the way. I am love, you are love and we are one. I am here to extend love through aligning my will with the fathers for our wills are one. I am spirit, you are spirit, and we are one. I am the creator of my world and I choose to create with love not fear from this moment forward. I release all that does not align with my father and his will for me and fearlessly put my life in the creators hand to mold me as he sees fit. I love you, I love me,& I love God.I am as God created me now and forever and so it is.

A waste of time

The book is all about glorifying Harrison. Feels like the author is trying to create a fanatical cult around him. But the examples about how ‘extraordinary’ he would be are quite mundane and boring.

A book of testimonials

I thought this book would have insights or would take the reader on a journey of Steve’s way of being and how it was expressed, so the reader might be able to unveil and learn certain things about themselves through the stories. Instead it was a tribute to him of testimonials, but no details of the actual way he was in helping his clients to perceive their revelations on their journeys with him. It might skim the surface of the experience they had. Essentially every story mentioned is some variation of saying he’s great and expensive, but worth it, but nothing deep beyond the surface of experience. It may be a good read for a prospective coaching client to read, so they can get an idea of what to expect with the tone, commitment, general benefits, and cost, but not much benefit beyond a piece of testimonial/marketing literature.

One big PR piece

I wanted to really like this book and I tried to finish all 11 hours of it, but I just couldn't do it. Steve sounds like a very impactful and impressive man with a lot to offer, but the book is one big testimonial for him with story after story about how great he is. There were a handful of nuggets of wisdom sprinkled throughout but I just couldn't get over the constant testimonials. As a result, I stopped listening to it. There are a bunch of really good reviews here so maybe I'm just missing the point of this book, but just giving my honest feedback.

Wanted to like this...

I read the glowing reviews and the not-so-glowing reviews before purchasing. I also read the instructions on how to listen to this book. I wanted to come out on the other side of this book with some real revelations, but sadly I have to agree with the not-so- glowing reviews. It feels like an Ode To Steve. It's just too heavy on the praise and the God-like worship vignettes come across a little cultish. I'm quite sure that Steve Hardison is a wonderfully talented human who has transformed lives, but if you are looking to transform your life by listening to the book, you may be sorely disappointed. I may revisit it in the off chance I missed the meaning. But my recommendation is to look to other sources like "You Are The Mountain" by Brianna Weist or "You Are The Blue Sky" by Sarah Kostin and so many others, including Gangaji. Good luck!
