About this listen
Third time's the charm, right?
At least that's what I tell myself when I witness the same hot guy commit mass murder three times in a few days. I'm either the luckiest mute boy ever or possibly the unluckiest.
Who knows, maybe him kidnapping me will turn into the greatest love story ever told? Hey, it could happen! You never know how these things will turn out. I happen to believe in love and soulmates, and if nothing else, Arlington Fox doesn't treat my disability like a nuisance.
It's not every day you find someone who just gets you, and I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth even if the horse in question is a man so good at killing people that I should probably introspect a bit about why that skews my moral compass and possibly my kinks. But c'mon, competence is sexy, am I right?
The Trouble with Trying to Date a Murderer is an MM paranormal romance with lots of sass, humor, a ridiculous 3000-year age gap, and an inordinate number of tables.
Includes a bonus short story, "Fox Recruits a Mute Boy (and Falls in Love)."

UTTERLY LOVED IT!
Endearing characters, surprisingly light and sweet story, smexy scenes and plenty of fun moments!
I LOVED IT!
And despite people being dismembered left and right and the main character's traumatic back story, this book was sweet and fluffy. The book also had the same craziness as The Hitman's Guide series by Alice Winters but in a paranormal setting.
Honestly, the book had the right amount of everything-including the lenght- to make it a great quick read!

I am so happy this series is now on audible
I have longed for this series to be available on Audible and It was so worth the wait.
I have re-read this series many times because It would be foolish not to as it's wonderful.
I can't wait for the other books to become available and loved the narrator.

Something unexpected!
This is not like anything I have read before but I loved it! The characters are very likeable and the world is pretty bizarre but it had me hooked from start to finish. Well worth a credit.

Absolutely brilliant
Loved the writing, loved the narration, and was very happy with bonus story at end, which was a book in itself.

Love Romilly
On the whole the narration was great, however athame is consistently pronounced wrongly and perhaps it's my little pedantic heart, but it took me out of it each time. Ath-a-may not ath-aim. Sorry, I know I should be grateful we have audio, it just landed on my ears badly.
Fresh and Fun.
Cody had me laughing throughout the whole book. It was impossible for me not to love Romilly from the first page. He gave me Leland lite vibes, and I loved it.
The action was fast-paced, with just enough world building to keep me interested, but not too much that I felt overwhelmed. It's more of a slow burn with the physical side of their relationship, but Romilly and Fox are super sweet. The barrier of Romilly being mute doesn't affect their relationship all.
There's a couple of side characters I'm interested in, but really, I could read several books about Romilly and Fox with no issues of getting bored.
The ending is a tad abrupt, a tease of more adventures, so it's a HFN.
Told in single pov
