Easy read, not too slushy
I thought this was going no where to begin with but glad I stuck with it. Very enjoyable characters and loved the narration. What’s not to like about a happy ending?

Enjoyable, light read.
This was fun to listen to, and the narrator did a wonderful job. It was also nice to have a scouser narrate a book, I've listened to hundreds and never come across one with an Liverpudlian accent before.
It was well written and the plot moved along nicely...
Sometimes it felt that everything that could go wrong did, it reminded me of the classic rom-com trope of the beautiful leading lady that is just sooooo clumsy and can't stop falling over - and just one make-over away from being drop dead gorgeous! Also I saw the plot twists coming from the first chapter! So at times it was quite irritating.
No the less, I finished the book and enjoyed it.

an unexpected delight
be warned this book is very, very funny. spit your coffee out in public, snort with laughter in the supermarket funny. I expected fairly generic chick lit from the cover but this was a pleasant surprise. don't get me wrong, it IS chick lit but the best kind, well written with humour and surprising depth, perfect holiday reading/listening in my opinion.

Lightweight fluff, faint praise.
This is an undemanding read. It is full of mildly amusing references and an excess of cringe-worthy mishaps. There are no big surprises and the ending is predictable, but a pleasant enough story for all that. Once I got over the contradiction of the main character's inability to be sensibly assertive and yet very successful in a demanding position and with a ridiculous mother, I quite enjoyed this tale. The narrator did a good job with various accents, although the Italian accented English of a significant character got lost partway through, which was a shame. I remember now why I dislike a Liverpudlian voice, even one less extreme as here. Its very unlikely that I'll listen to this book again.

Good storyline peppered with LoL moments.
I enjoyed this audiobook. The first time I've listened to this narrator and would gladly listen to her again.

A good story
Another Jane Costello book that was a lovely listen. This book has me laughing out loud. I bought it in a 2 for 1 book deal & glad I did as it is worth a listen but not 1 whole credit. The narrator was ok although I had to raise the narration speed to 1.35
