Summary
Modern science and classic spiritual traditions agree: regulating the breath leads to radiance and wellness of body, mind, and spirit. With the simple teachings and cutting-edge research offered in The Tibetan Yoga of Breath, you can start thriving just by integrating breathwork into your daily practice.
Basic Yantra Yoga techniques - also called wind energy training - are the key to achieving this kind of vitality, down to the cellular level. Anyen Rinpoche and Allison Choying Zangmo skillfully examine the teachings of Yantra Yoga and Buddhism through the lens of Western medical science. Their wise and accessible instruction reveals practices that are nourishing and transformative, delivering dramatic results - no experience with yoga or Buddhist meditation necessary.

Very repetitive and contains little substance
A little way past the beginning I started to realise the message was very repetitive, merely finding different ways of saying the same thing - ie benefits of wind energy. Minimal practical instruction.

Simple, practical, wise
An introduction to conscious breathwork through a Tibetan lense. Contains abundant clear insight into the human condition and explores methods which will aid in overcoming over identification with thought and mind. The breathing exercises and visualisations are clearly laid out and easy to practice and follow. Being a practitioner I've adapted some of the techniques into my practice. Worthwhile exploration

Excellent book!
I had no expectations of this book as it came as free. But once I started listening I could not stop. There is simplicity and power in each sentence. It relates ancient teachings to modern world and suffering of modern man. It is very practical with lots of examples. It is not too long and any repetition served to drive the message and enables understanding of it. It inspired me to try and I instantly wanted to share it with all my friends and family.

seek expert help
I was greatly enthused by the potential of wind energy described in the first part of this audiobook. however, on trying to put it into practice, I learnt the hard way that un-guided yoga doesn't always turn out well for middle aged men.

More about Buddhism than breath exercises
I enjoyed book but found title misleading for me. One simple breath exercise is taught and the rest focused on Buddhist philosophy and meditative approaches in conjunction with breath. All good stuff just not what I expected.

prescription for happiness in a troubled world
It dawned on me many years ago that materialism and greed are not the source of happiness. Neither is being a selfless do-gooder at all times.
Using breath to work through troubled emotions and to deepen spirituality hold greater promise.
my favorite book on breathworktopic is breath of yoga by richard rosen. here goes into great detail on how to get started, precise techniques of each breathing style, how to maintain motivation and the benefits you get from sustained practice.
this book comes at it from a different angle detailing the health and the spiritual benefits of practice. this to bug should be required reading for everybody on earth. surprisingly this kind of information is not available in most schools in america.
i'm not very optimistic about the prospects of the future of humanity.
but since we're all in this together it's good to have a tonic for a world full of suffering. it sounds cynical put that way, but the truth is you need this more than ever because life is about suffering in every age of our existence on this planet.
in many ways life is the best it's ever been for the lucky few. sadly , people in the power seem to have a way of making things worse for future generations.
i hope i'm wrong and that sometime soon all the people of the world will get together to make the world a better place.

Skip chapters 1-4
First four chapters are explaining to you why you bought the book. Save yourself the waste of time and skip to chapter 5. Unless you are unsure as to why you invested time and money into this purchase in the first place.

Helpful info on Tibetan breathing techniques
The narrator has a very pleasant English accent. The book serves as a good introduction to some of the techniques and benefits of the different breathing exercises. A good place to start on your path to learn about yoga/ Tibetan breathing practices.

Excellent Practices
Listen to this book to learn about, not only controlling the breath, and its many benefits, but other Tibetan Buddhist meditation practices that go along with it. Lovingkindness, compassion, reduced stress and anxiety, and healing will be the result.
