About this listen
The Red House Mystery is an intriguing story that takes the listener to the quaint English countryside and right into the strange case of the disappearing host.
When amateur detective Anthony Gillingham and his friend, Bill Beverley visit Red House, their host, Mark Ablett suddenly disappears. Anthony believes that Mr. Ablett’s disappearance may be connected to a bizarre murder. Gillingham must discover if their host is responsible for that murder and what the motive was.
The Red House Mystery masterfully combines witty dialogue with a fun cast of characters, along with the charm of the English countryside and the intrigue of a cozy mystery, making for a story that anyone can enjoy.

Worst narration of a dry story
This was a truly terrible rendition of a story that hasn't stood the test of time. I only discovered this book because it features in another crime story as an impossible murder.
The premise is clever, but the real victim is the story which is massacred by the inept and tedious narration.

Fun mystery, badly narrated
I'm afraid I have to agree with the other reviewer, largely. Though I think the mystery is good, the poor reading destroys some of the humour and masks the meaning in places - he even pronounces 'row' 'row', for goodness' sake!
