Summary

We said we could do casual. We swore we wouldn't fall in love. We lied.

Charlie

I didn't buy my house just so I could stare at the guy next door. I swear. It's not my fault he mows the lawn with his shirt off. His tattooed muscles are an eye magnet. I can't look away.

The first kiss is an accident. One taste and I have to have more. We were supposed to keep it casual. Neighbors with benefits. No big deal. When a client comes after me for turning him in to the FBI, Lucas swears he'll keep me safe. I'm not supposed to fall in love with him. That's not the deal. I'm walking straight into broken heart, and I can't stop myself.

Lucas

My new neighbor is a nightmare. Or a wet dream. Charlotte Winters, the crown princess of the Winters clan. It shouldn't be hard to keep my distance. We have nothing in common. I grew up not knowing where my next meal was coming from. She grew up with a personal chef. But Charlie isn't what I expected. It's not just that she's funny and determined and sexy as hell. She's vulnerable. She's in danger. And she turns to fire in my arms.

One kiss and I'm in too deep to walk away.

I have no business being friends with a woman like her, much less claiming a place in her bed. Too f**king bad. Now that I've had a taste of Charlie, I'm not giving her up. Not until I have to. Even if it destroys us both.

The Rebel Billionaire is a stand-alone romance with a happy ending. It's the fifth book in the Scandals of the Bad Boy Billionaires series and reveals more about the notorious Winters family. You can listen to it on its own; everything you need to know is explained, but once you get a taste, you'll want to listen to the others. ;)

Suspense and romance for Charlotte Winters

Thoroughly enjoyed this story about Charlie and Lucas. Their chemistry was red hot from the start and his protective instinct kicked in when she was threatened from an unknown source.
The narrators did an amazing job of bringing all the characters to life and I highly recommend this audiobook. Looking forward to the next instalment

Why aren't all of this series with narration

I have enjoy the characters and have looked forward to the next book. But when there is no narration I don't buy as I now have trouble with reading.

Sexy!

Lukas and Charlie were a delicious couple. Their story was hot and sexy from the start. I want my own Lukas! Love the how author weaves in past characters/plots and introduces us to the upcoming ones. It’s like binge watching multiple seasons. I Especially like how each book has its on mystery (even if a bit anticlimactic in the end scene) along with the big one of the parents’ murders continuing throughout each book. I had to get over some moments of “no way would her brothers have allowed that.“ Narration was good especially Beckett’s sexy voice for Lukas. So far my favorite from this series. So happy Audible Escape has this available.

hot and mysterious. loved it.

(Lucas & Charlie): TRIGGERS: assault, stalking, hostage situation. This was a really good book. Charlie is the baby sister to the Winters family and therefore has to deal with an extreme amount of overprotective behavior from her brothers. She's worked for the family company since she was old enough to work. She decides to move to the house she had recently purchased and begin working on it. Lucas is her new neighbor and he works on private security. He's had a thing for Charlie day one but he tries to stay away. These two burn up the pages and the sheets. But just when it starts to get good, it starts getting dark. Charlie's in danger and it's up to Lucas to protect her. Loved this book. It was funny but mostly it was sexy and mysterious. Glad I chose to read this.

The Best!

Out of all the Layne series, this book is my favorite. I'm a common sense, action speak louder than words girl. So sometimes I find aspects of her book irritating but this book right here, was so relatable. Lucas was honest and straightforward, even when he messed up he realized it immediately and looked to fixing it with the bs delay. Charlie knew Lucas messed up but went with her gut not the circumstances and gave him another chance.

On the negative note.. Yeah these books can get a little detailed 😉, I've gotten use to it. Seriously though, why do all these books feel the need to use Jesus and God in such a disrespectful manner. It makes my stomach cringe. Don't people realize the name of the Lord is holy 🙄 smh. Wish these books had a clean version lmbo..
