Great detail.
I know they say that books should not be a substitute for professional help, but I have to say that I learned more from this audiobook than from years of therapy sessions. Seriously! I've had several different therapists and all they do is sit in a chair, sip on their tea, and just listen to me talk for an hour. They offer no insight. But this audiobook went into great detail about emotional intelligence, positive psychology and other theories. This audiobook is packed full of knowledge that I can apply to my everyday life.

Positive approach to life.
I've dealt with self-esteem issues my whole life. I bought this audiobook hoping that I could learn to build my self-esteem. It has been very helpful, and I learned a lot from it, not only on building my self-esteem but also on life in general and dealing with day-to-day stresses. The audiobook goes in-depth about positive psychology and emotional intelligence skills. I have gotten a new outlook on life from reading the book and a new, positive approach to life.

Recommend this audiobook.
This audiobook taught me to try to listen to what other people have to say. I try to understand their point of view and listen to what they have to say. I try not to interrupt and let the other person speak their feelings, and I've learned to speak more politely and not overreact by raising my voice or changing my tone of voice in a negative way. I recommend this audiobook.

Great concepts !!
For once in my life, I feel like I have the knowledge that I need to help me better handle my behaviors and emotions. It's still a long road ahead and will take much practice to apply the concepts of emotional intelligence and DBT in my life, but at least I know that I am finally on the right track to taking better control of my emotions and behaviors. Seriously! Save time and money on paying for a therapist and read this book!

Really helpful.
I've always found it challenging to control my emotions. I often get swept away by intense feelings. The chapter on emotional regulation skills in DBT provided me with an understanding on how to control my emotions better. I also plan on practicing positive self-talk and opposite action in my life.

A lot of concepts!
There are a lot of concepts covered in this audiobook, but I have to say that dealing with confrontation has been the best lesson for me so far. I plan on utilizing other strategies discussed in the book to help with stress, anxiety, and relationships. The audiobook is narrated really well.

I seriously recommend that if you are like me and are waiting for a therapist, get this audiobook. It definitely isn't a replacement for a therapist, but the audiobook gives you the tools that you need to tackle everyday challenges that come your way. I highly recommend this book. 5 stars plus, plus, plus!
