About this listen
"A stunning portrait of a woman blossoming into her full power…this is Alka Joshi's best book yet!”—Kate Quinn, New York Times bestselling author of The Diamond Eye
From the author of Reese's Book Club Pick The Henna Artist, the final chapter in Alka Joshi’s New York Times bestselling Jaipur trilogy takes listeners to 1970s Paris, where Radha’s budding career as a perfumer must compete with the demands of her family and the secrets of her past.
Paris, 1974. Radha is now living in Paris with her husband, Pierre, and their two daughters. She still grieves for the baby boy she gave up years ago, when she was only a child herself, but she loves being a mother to her daughters, and she’s finally found her passion—the treasure trove of scents.
She has an exciting and challenging position working for a master perfumer, helping to design completely new fragrances for clients and building her career one scent at a time. She only wishes Pierre could understand her need to work. She feels his frustration, but she can’t give up this thing that drives her.
Tasked with her first major project, Radha travels to India, where she enlists the help of her sister, Lakshmi, and the courtesans of Agra—women who use the power of fragrance to seduce, tease and entice. She’s on the cusp of a breakthrough when she finds out the son she never told her husband about is heading to Paris to find her—upending her carefully managed world and threatening to destroy a vulnerable marriage.

A wonderful end to a Trilogy! Shame!
If you love smells and are intrigued as to how they are manufactured read this.... a great book finishing the Jaipur Trilogy. You can read this on its on, but much better to have read books 1 & 2.
Sneha Mathan is a brilliant narrator and has narrated all three books in the Jaipur Trilogy.

Meeting India
Loved all three books in this series. So beautifully read , an enchanting storyline and the fragrance of the herbs and flowers were almost
Detectable. I learnt a little bit more of the Indian way of life and if I were able I would be on a plane to expand that knowledge.

Outstanding
I have read the full Trilogy by Alka Joshi. Her style of writing is beautiful and I could not stop listening to all 3 novels, expertly read by the narrator. The characters are wonderful as is the whole story. Highly recommended.

Superb series of books by this author
I love the gentle but interesting way that the story unfolds giving an insight into both Indian ways of life & the thoughts & emotions of the characters. So soothing to listen to, because of the voice of the narrator, but also holding your attention because of the attractive characters involved.

loved it
what makes me sad about finishing this is that there is no more. I gave it five stars as an end to the saga . Definitely didn't have the full enthrall of the other two but still very enjoyable

Couldn’t put it down
I loved the characters and how the story continued from book 1 and 2… but it was also its own story. Beautifully written and narrated.
