Excellent research ruined by dreadful narration
I wish I had read this well-researched, interesting book rather than listened to this dreadful narration. The narrator mispronounced Sian O’Callaghan’s name throughout as “Shaun” which is disrespectful towards the victim. Other names and words were also mispronounced: Abergele became “Abergell”, Llangollen became “Langerllan” and the word “inquiry” became an “inquerry” which irritated the hell out of me. I hope this can be re-recorded by a narrator who cares about getting things right.

Awful narrator, pronounces the victims name wrong!
I don’t know if the narrator is a real person or AI but the voice is awful and they keep calling Sian, Shawn which is so disrespectful. The voice is like a patronising school teacher.
Such a shame because the book is really well written and researched.

Great story, terrible narration.
Like all this author’s books, fascinating and well written. Unfortunately the narrator cannot pronounce names, places, and barely takes a breath.

Good Content Awful narration
The content is well researched and thought provoking but awful awful narration.Pronoucing Sian s name wrong is very disrepectful .And at times it becomes irratating.Could it be reproduced with a better narration??Glad I got it with a credit.

Brilliantly researched and written
A fascinating deep dive into a number of cases that could have been committed by convicted murderer Christopher Halliwell. I got a real sense of who these women were and why it’s so important that their cases are investigated further by police.
My only criticism would be the narrator’s consistent mispronunciation of Sian’s name, and at one point also referring to Becky as Betty. I do think these mistakes should have picked up on before release out of respect to their families.
Otherwise a very good read. One I’m sure I’ll listen to again.

Good book shame about the narration
Very well written but many names and words mispronounced to the point I nearly deleted it
