What a belter!
This creepy little number was my first Lucy Dawson and it won’t be my last! I finished it in 2 days and thought it was a brilliantly paced and narrated thriller, and I loved the psychological / supernatural touches. It was one of those books that has you thinking - It’s him.... no it’s her.... It’s definitely not a ghost..... but maybe it could be a ghost?.... is it that person AND a ghost?... nope it’s 100 percent him.... or her.... all within the space of one chapter. Great fun!!

Gripping
I really enjoyed this book, Clare Corbett is a terrific reader, and the suspense was very nicely built. Swallowed the whole lot in one day. I did predict ‘who done it’ about three quarters through, but it didn’t spoil the ending.

Gripping!
Loved this book! The narration was brilliant and the story was gripping- so much I had to binge listen for over 3 hours to get to the end. Eerily spooky in parts, it keeps you guessing.

Unexpected Good Read
Wasn't expecting much from this book as I bought it from the Daily Deal and to be honest I have not had a great experience from that. However, from the start this story caught my imagination and I was hooked. Loved the characters who were all flawed to a greater or lesser degree. The plot depicts the consequencies of the decisions we make and the kids we tell which at times are devastating intentionally or not. Lovely misleading plot too. This is also a love story of sorts but not in the romantic sense. For me the narration was spot on. Would certainly recommend.
