Summary
Jack Tate is hopeless....
Everything he touches turns into a disaster, but he means well. His business is even less successful than his love life. His once-thriving coffee shop was on the brink of bankruptcy, but salvation could be right under his nose.
At the insistence of his loyal and underappreciated assistant, Emma, he sees that the last hope of saving his business could be the only customers who’ve not deserted him for the faceless coffee chains - the old folk.
To attract new customers, Jack and Emma set up the Isle of Man’s first dating and social club for the elderly - The Lonely Heart Attack Club. Eager to give his elderly congregation a sense of purpose, he sets them a challenge that may be one step too far: to become World Record holders.
They may be old but there is plenty of life left in them, and Jack soon realises that they're not just customers; they’ve become friends.
Could his unintended compassion to his wrinkly client base also be the catalyst for romance?

Heart warming
Lovely easy listening story. I smiled, laughed and cried. Felt as if I was in the coffee shop chatting with friends. Loved the performance of the narrator. Will definitely buy the others in the series.

The narration is painful
Silly, funny story, ideal for a long journey, totally spoiled by bad narration eg assume pronounced as aShume.

Laugh Out Loud Funny
What a superb book. Equal parts smut, humour, heartfelt emotions and an ending that will make even the stonehearted fill up. I'm so glad I found this book and I'm looking forward to more.

Gentle and heartwarming
I usually opt for the Anne Cleeves, Peter James type of book for my 'book at bedtime ' listening but this time the name appealed. I really enjoyed it and was very pleasantly surprised. Good narration, good characters and didn't stretch the limit of credulity as some of the stories in this genre. I will look for more.

"I've got man boobs!"
A fun, feel good (or at least better) story set on the Isle of Man in which a group of elderly folks attempt to gain entry in the Guinness Book of Records. Sometimes a little bit rude, but very enjoyable.
Good narration by Christopher Devon

Dreadful rubbish
I really regret wasting a credit on this book. It’s anything but funny and the narrator is appalling. He can’t even get the punctuation right.

Made me LOL
I really enjoyed listening to this book, but was over all too quickly. I always listen to audible in the car and this book made me laugh out loud while sat in a traffic jam, a couple of other drivers looked at me quite oddly!!
The characters are great, the narrator really brought them to life!
The scene in the changing room was sooooooo funny!!
Enjoy the book, I’m now on the next one
