Summary
John Corey, former NYPD Homicide detective and special agent for the Anti-Terrorist Task Force, is back on the trail of Asad Khalil, the notorious Libyan terrorist known as 'The Lion'. Corey and his partner, agent Kate Mayfield, tracked Khalil across the US after his threats to wipe out the US in a horrific wave of terrorism. But after methodically eliminating his victims one by one, Khalil disappeared without a trace. Now, years later, Khalil has returned to America to take care of unfinished business. 'The Lion' is a killing machine on a mission of revenge, and John Corey will not stop until he rids the earth of this tyrant once and for all.

A must read
I have recently discovered this author and have become completely hooked. His writing style is both witty and very funny but the tense and fast paced story underneath keeps you guessing all the way to the end.
The characters are so well drawn that you have a clear picture of them from the first chapter and this is greatly enhanced by the narrator chosen for these books who is, in my opinion, absolutely perfect for the books.
I have now read all the books in the John Corey series and would recommend them to anyone who enjoys thrillers with a sense of humour.

The Lion
A real Lion of a story which moves along at a cracking pace. A very believable and because of that a frightening story line brilliantly researched and superbly narrated too. I have read a couple of novels by DeMille in the past but I think this is by far the best of them.

My first book by Nelson DeMille will not be the last.
The story is well written. Hints of Sam Spade in the writing with humour in the right places.
The Narration as usual by Scott Brick is sensational.
What more can I say?
Nothing!

Very entertaining
This book was odd for me to begin with. I love the character, and I love Scott Brick, but where I usually find Corey, witty and sharp (previously I read the books) here the narration, for me, made him seem arrogant and slightly mean, but I got used to it and thoroughly enjoyed it.

A Thriller
Enjoyed this book and finished it in two days. Pity it is a sequel to his first book which is not available on Audible.
John Correy is a likable character with a good sense of humour.
Well researched book with some a gruesome description of what the Taliban do to prisoners.
Will look out for the next book featuring John Correy.
