Summary

At any time our lives or our world could change dramatically.

Most of us do not even consider, or are far too afraid to consider, that this hour may be the last of perceived normality.

That something has been watching....

EH it's so so

Would i Reccomend o.O? probably
Is it worth listening to 8-/ ? I'd not reccomend. But id say Try reading it. The Narrator has a deep voice but half the time it sounds more like a robot reading natural english.
Is the story good ? Eh i giveit a 5/5 though there is some lack luster.

The first quarter to the middle of the novel was like bum rushing pass the BS in most books and For once Humanity unites instantly withouth all the drama and suspense and ofc BS. What i cant understand is. WHERE IS ALL THE HARD ASS ELITES that were talked about joining the war at. Most of the main characters are the aliens and Airport security turn FNG MARINES derping around fighting and learning to be soldiers o.o.

Airforces from across the world are gettin rekt like enemies swatting musquitos out of the sky lol. LIKE WTF. I can understand that part though. after you reach like in the 75% margin of the book and maybe 3 hours left to go. It gets pretty dull. Its pretty weird though cuz i would assume humanity being more focus fighting than lots of bla bla bla. o.o I see no where so far where the name of the book takes presidence and makes sens. All in all though its word a read. Its not all bad to a point but its really challenging cuz i was expecting humanity sending in some bad ass multi national crew... learning new tech slowly but surely adapting such tech. Still the book is centered one planet/outpost and fight o.o anyways hope this helps. Story seems good tho.

A good story let down by the voice artist

The story itself sounds fast moving and enjoyable, unfortunately for me it was ruined by the monotonous voice recording.

Skylar manages to remove all emotion and action from the story making it sound like a 4th grade history teacher recounting a lesson for the 10th year running.

I actually stopped listening after 9 chapters. I’ll be purchasing the Kindle version instead and reading it.

Also; as a British Veteran, some of the military terms were incorrect and the pronunciation of the towns/cities were incorrect. But that’s a minor thing.

Amazing sci-fi adventure!

Would you listen to The Last Marine in the Galaxy again? Why?

I loved the story line of the humans and the aliens coming together. it is something that finally does not have a negative view on all extraterrestrial beings! The narration made the story easy to follow and engaging. Would highly recommend to any sci-fi fans!!!

How could they let this guy read this book????

The narrator wasn't the author so there's no excuse. Did they just find a guy? He couldn't or wouldn't do accents. The characters are all one thing. I couldn't tell if I was hearing an alien or a human. Could have used a physical description of the aliens. Was there an editor? How did he/she miss this?

I might have to return this on principle to protest lazy publication. This is not what audible should be. Do better.

Have R.C. Bray read this and I'll buy it again and love it. But edit it first to include the details that one must know in order to form a mental picture please.

worst narration ever

I love military scifi... but undifferentiated monotone narration made it impossible to follow the story.
