"No weapons in the house, ladies."

The third, and final, book in the Impossible series. Together, the three shorts make up the equivalent of a single novel.. With the Third Planetary War in progress, Orphelia faces to find an antidote to her mother's serum and another reunion with Saint Rita. Slower to get underway than its predecessors but still enjoyable, it was again narrated by Tia Rider Sorenson and was a complimentary download from Free Audiobook Codes.

Excellent story but….

No doubt that Alexandria Clarke is an excellent writer there is no dispute about that.
Also the universe and the story is very nicely done and thought of, especially when it comes into Alexandria’s imagination and those amazing unpredictables twists which always surprising at a perfect timing.
That was the Pro,
Now the Con:
This third book of the trilogy is written more like a TV show then a book meaning that the first chapter is all about what the first two books where about, so if eventually I’ll see this series on TV it won’t surprise me at all.
Next is the Feminism is way to much in this series which I’ve only realized while trying to write this review, it’s not that the woman can’t be heroes or go on missions but every time ?
Not once that I can remember man are used in any major action seen only as mechanics and in background position, like extras in the movies.

Ok that was the pro and cons but even so I absolutely enjoyed the story very much, also excellent narration by Tia Rider Sorensen ( again a woman ).
Putting it all aside it was easy to understand, enjoyable and a good story so recommending this trilogy is easily done by me !!!

Oded Ostfeld.

A Predictable Conclusion

The final installment of The Impossible trilogy where our dynamic duo of besties make there way to the rebel camp/high school where we finally get to the big reveal of the entire point of the 3 books. All previously noted problems with the series remain; however, if you are here for the drama, you are in the right place. The story unfolds in a fairly predictable manner ... until you finally get to the hero's end (after completely ignoring the rebel context in favor of an obstructionist element to just pass the time). Ultimately I am sure this series will work for some, but the lack of any realistic world building and/or consistant context was definitely an issue for me, so despite the descent narration, the overall score for this and the entire series remains at a 3 (rounded up) and therefore recommended for casual entertainment when you find yourself bored and looking for a distraction.

After listening to book 1, I immediately got book 2 with hopes that the cliffy was cleared up and it was 👍 actually I think the whole story arc is wrapped up by the end of book 2?
Definitely worth the ride

Remarkable!

Book 2 is great! A very dysfunctional family,.mad scientists, alien DNA, alien invasion, this story has it all. Rebels battle against the all-encompassing Alliance. This story follows the younger daughter who walks away from graduation at the esteemed Cadet Academy, rejecting its values. Apparently in Book 1 she joined an infamous pirate battleship, only to resign from it to join the rebels. She wants to fight with the group her father had so much impact on when he led them. Her best friend Vera, who she roomed with in the Academy, and her sister join her cause against the mad scientist, her mother. I told you it was a dysfunctional family. A great listen!
