Really informative and culturally relevant.

This book is great! At first, I thought it was going to be another large collection of Irish stereotypes, like: the Irish are lucky! (due to the general affiliation of leprechauns with the Irish), Ireland is a backwards European state, they love potatoes etc. This book turned out to be really interesting, with a lot of fun details about the great emerald island.
The significance of many things are explained in details, like why the green colour is associated with St.Patricks day and Ireland as a whole (spoiler: it is not because Ireland has a very green landscape!). I found a lot of the information from this book really useful for having an insider view into the history of Ireland and the accomplishments of the Irish people. Although, I am not certain to visit Ireland soon enough, but I am sure to have a better time exploring the island with all these stories and fun facts in mind.

I requested for this book, and was given as a free review copy. This review is solely based on my experience with this book.

An insider view into Ireland.

This is a very interesting book. Ireland is one of the many fascinating places in Europe, with a lush vegetation and budding economy. However, many people (mostly brits) only go by stereotypes of what the Irish and Ireland are. I think think this book can be useful in changing these notions, as it contains a lot of fascinating facts about the truth of Ireland. It is also a great info. guide for visiting Ireland in the near future. Good idea, and great narration.

This book was given to me as a free review copy, at my own request. This written review is of my own opinion and volition.

I can't understand how this was even published

Boy is this bad. Highlights being a list of umpteen counties read out very slowly, complete inaccuracies....there is no sea in Northampton so the Titanic did not set sail from there and soo repetitive. Complete waste of time and money

Waste of time

Unfortunately this is a rather disappointing listen. The facts are poorly researched with some of them being straight up wrong.

The pronunciation of the names and locations was terrible. I’m a non Irish living in Ireland so understand some of the names can be a challenge. However there was clearly a tight deadline to record this so the names are almost incoherent.

The Worst Audible Book I’ve Bought

This is by far the worst audible book I’ve bought! Th delivery is slow and tedious. It is interspersed with rhetorical questions. It follows no logical progression and is more suited to young children than adults. I’ve got nothing positive to say about the book.
