About this listen

Podkin is the son of a warrior chieftain. He knows that one day it will be up to him to lead his warren and guard it in times of danger. But for now he's quite happy to laze around. Then Podkin's home is brutally attacked, and the young rabbits are forced to flee. With danger all around them, Podkin must protect his family and attempt to defeat the most horrifying enemy rabbitkind has ever known.

A great story for young and old told brilliantly. The story of Podkin One Ear should be listened to in the dead of winter in front of a blazing fire. Failing that any chance you get.

A great fireside tale

Very engaging adventure - accessible for younger readers but also with a sophistication of language and turn of phrase that is likely to appeal to older readers.

If you enjoyed The Hobbit then you’ll love this.
