About this listen
Does your knowledge of the Old Testament feel like a grab bag of people, books, events, and ideas? How many times have you resolved to really understand the OT? To finally make sense of it?
Perhaps you are suffering from what Sandra Richter calls the "dysfunctional closet syndrome". If so, she has a solution. Like a home-organizing expert, she comes in and helps you straighten up your cluttered closet. Gives you hangers for facts. A timeline to put them on. And handy containers for the clutter on the floor. Plus she fills out your wardrobe of knowledge with exciting new facts and new perspectives.
The whole thing is put in usable order - a history of God's redeeming grace. A story that runs from the Eden of the Garden to the garden of the New Jerusalem. Whether you are a frustrated do-it-yourselfer or a beginning student enrolled in a course, this book will organize your understanding of the Old Testament and renew your enthusiasm for studying the Bible as a whole.

Fantastic!
This book expanded my mind. It insightfully presents history, tradition and truth with impunity. Thank you.

The love of God and our salvation explained
I used to think Matthew, Mark, Luke and John and your fixed. Looking backwards and understanding the whole story of God’s Grace and redemptive love is a blessing in it’s self. Essential reading for all especially Christians.

Mind Expanding!
This book has expanded my understanding of so much about the Old Testament and God’s relationship with man, the children of Israel and Christians. It has also triggered deeper thought on how the OT translates into living under the New Covenant. Will probably buy the actual book, as there are so many Bible references that need to be looked up and considered while listening, that I had to keep pausing the narration. Will definitely listen to this again and again. The historical context alone is worth listening to.

Mind expanding and heart enriching
This book has helped me know, understand, and love God better. It expands how you think about things, and reveals hidden truths you didn’t know before. I can’t wait to read the Old Testament! Excellently narrated, in fact I only started listening to it because I’d just finished another narrated by her and enjoyed her voice! Who knew I was getting a fantastic book into the bargain? My only disagreement is with the bit right at the end where she doesn’t think current say Israel holds a special place in God’s heart, but I can’t expect everything.
