Summary

Melanie Hoskins, an experienced firefighter-paramedic, has been recruited by a very selective and secret organisation known as The Division. Their mission is to protect the populace and secure the continuation of the United States. The Division is only activated at times of dire need. This just so happens to be one of those times. Based in New York City, Hoskins is forced to leave her civilian life and those she loves behind, and join the front line to try to control the 'dollar flu' virus that has been spreading throughout the city.

Not everyone agrees with how this outbreak should be dealt with, and those who used to keep the city streets free of waste have taken matters into their own hands and formed 'The Cleaners'. This group of sanitation workers, custodians and janitors, believe that the only true way to clean the city, is to burn away the infection, including those who still carry it. The mission is clear, until Hoskins discovers that one of The Cleaners’ newest recruits is someone she can’t bring herself to view as the enemy.

Based on the hit Ubisoft game Tom Clancy’s The Division and starring Katee Sackoff and Shannon Woodward, The Division: Hearts on Fire is an action packed drama that explores duty, love and the impossible situation of a woman trapped between the two.

Hearts on Fire is written and directed by Kc Wayland, an award-winning writer, producer, editor, director and United States Army veteran whose film and audio work has been enjoyed around the world.

More then just an Audiobook!

If your a division fan JUST listen to this, enough said!

This is a Audio Theatre experience not just someone reading a book, if you know KC Wayland for We're Alive then basically all his years of experience is concentrated into a Division Story, no one better could have been picked to do a "audiobook" version, because his a pioneer at immersing you in a world with just sound.

Strong actor performances

I'm a huge fan of The Division game, and was excited about this. It wasn't what I was expecting, although I did enjoy it. I was hoping for some immersing description, which really brought home the desolation of New York after the dollar flu hit. Sadly, I didn't get that. What I did get however, was a great cast who made this a throughly enjoyable story.

Absolutely brilliant!

I am so impressed with all Ubisoft done to create this audiobook. I absolutely loved every minute and I regret there's nothing more to listen to.

Lazy, dreadful radio drama

This was absolutely dreadful. I pretty much finished it to be able to warn you.

If you like cheesy predictable radio dramas, perhaps this is for you. Everyone else should avoid it.

Audible - please just read books! Don’t encourage authors to generate this sort of rubbish. Sound effects, shouting, grunting, and over emotive dialogue enable content generators to be lazy and not bother to write the story. Ugh. (But if this whole thing was automatically generated by an AI, then will done - in another few years the robots could be writing decent fiction)

couldn't even listen to it..

A book for children and others that have trouble with a narrative and big words, utterly useless listen.

Great story.

This is a great audio drama. I haven’t had the privilege to complete the game, only managed to do a free trial, so full knowledge of game isn’t needed at all.

Great sound effects and voice acting. This is the first story that I have listened to in one sitting.

I have to give it a bonus star because it came as a full episode. Rather than having to stop and start the next chapter which can be a little annoying, and takes you out of the story.

Fully recommend this free audio drama from the creators of We’re Alive. (6 stars!)

KC Wayland never disappoints

Very well executed story! Action packed and atmospheric. Soundscapes are great and acting is great. Can’t wait for more stories by KC Wayland.

Predictable non plot

The worst ever from my favourite writer. Better than some, but so predictable and the characters were so weak. Save your credits and get anything else
