Dave Birch does it again!

Dave Birch is a legend in the world of payment and especially digital money/currencies. This is an extremely well thought through piece of work. It builds to a clear conclusion through drawing insights from the authors technical and historical knowledge and the application of experience and judgement. It's also written in a straightforward way, and the delivery is entertaining.

What's refreshing is that it references Bitcoin but takes a much broader financial market perspective.

An insightful look into the digital currency world

As someone who knows very little about currency and its impact on a functioning economy in general, this book was a pleasure to listen to. It broke down difficult concepts into an understandable and retainable manner. It touches upon a number of topics relating to the past and present experimentation with modern forms of money, its prospects, evolution and likely future direction.

Will we go from the dominant dollar to the futuristic “Facebuck”? Or will China’s electronic government-backed tender steal the show? Would criminals and tax-evaders thrive in a cashless society or is this the necessary step to a transparent, well regulated market? In an almost prose-like manner Dave Birch shares his educated thoughts into such an intriguing field.

The pulse of identity and money

Followed David since the Mondex trial when I first started work after Uni. An article caught my eye in "Computing". A technologist you must follow. If you have read The Sovereign Individual, you must read or listen to this book on Audible. I am hoping he brings his back catalogue of work to platform.
