Story
Despite his warriors' lineage, Erroh would rather waste his potential stumbling alone from one tavern to the next, drinking and gambling. Fate, however, has greater plans for him. After decades of peace, a great war draws near, and though he doesn't know it, he is standing in the way of the first wave. What is more, and very much to his dismay, he's about to find out he's not entirely alone either. But Erroh has a plan, a simple plan.

A Feisty, Pacey Mix to Start!

Summary
A band of inept mercenaries. A girl with an arrow in her head. This latest contract could get them killed...again.
It’s been 30 years since Dellerin fell to the Dark One's rule. Magical Weavers have been hunted to extinction, and demonic attacks are frequent. With the kingdom’s remaining armies fighting an unwinnable war, the survival of small towns rely on whatever mercenaries they can afford.
The Crimson Hunters are the most affordable around. With few victories and a trail of failed plans in their wake, they are the only hope the village of Treystone have at fending off the demon hordes. But with rival mercenaries on their heels, a Grand Demon close behind, and a town hell-bent on getting itself destroyed, The Crimson Hunters will need a miracle to save them...as long as she doesn’t kill them first.

Disappointing
After 12 hours listening to this I find it difficult to point to many memorable parts. It reads more like a short story that has been padded out to make into a novel. The padding being a lot of repetitive introspection that eventually becomes tiresome. Not wanting to give spoilers but the characters tend to stumble between incidents shrug and move on, this had the effect of causing me not to care much either. Thought the narrator was good.
