Great performance but I found the story a bit hard to engage with. It did bring back feelings of nostalgia

A brilliant surprise entry fleshing out the Elric of Melnibone series. Highly recommended! A masterful read and listen for fans of ASOIAF and any self-respecting hero with a magic sword.

I've read Moorcock before, Elric particularly, so I knew what to expect. However much of this story just felt dull and pointless. It comprises 3 tales. The first takes a while to get going, but is OK in the end. The second is shorter and the best of the three, more like what you'd expect from Moorcock. The third could have been half or a third of the length. There is far too much monologuing, or "talking heads" with nothing of note actually happening. The concept of the setting and the world lore is interesting, but the main events happen right at the end of several hours of slogging through nothing of note. I almost didn't finish it.
