Just don’t bother

The book is really boring and without any substance. It took me a few chapters to realise this book just promoted this woman’s rubbery stick thing (had to look it up on amazon). She constantly seemed to repeat herself. I do think that a short pamphlet would have been a much better read. I will be returning to audible and requesting my credit back.

Interesting. But too heavy on testimonials.

I found this book to be interesting, but lacking in evidence and science to support it's claims.

I picked it up as it was recommended by my sister. I was very sceptical and would have dismissed it out of hand because I'm not worried about cellulite, and certainly not into 'gimmicks'. Just the cover itself turns me off. However I was surprised that parts of it I found interesting. However I'd like to read about actual science.

I got absolutely fed up with the constant 'facebook testimonials' which are meaningless and completely unverifiable. Although given a month in which they were written, you're not given a year or any other details. They are all vague and utterly subjective. I'm not interested in peoples anecdotal testimonials. Not one bit. That's not science. If that's all you've got, it undermines the entire message and credibility of the book.

I am taking it all with a pinch of salt, BUT... it has got me curious, and I want to seek out more evidence based information about fascia. I will be doing more independent reading and research myself. I have for many years been interested in evidence based ancestral health science and medicine, the importance of looking at the body as a holistic system - so the ideas are not foreign to me and I will continue to explore the subject.

Re the Performance - Her narration was a little bit too relaxed and familiar for me. There were some awkward pauses and transitions, which I found jarring. She's clearly trying to make it conversational and to sound 'cool' but it didn't really work for me. The book leave's alot to be desired, despite presenting some interesting ideas. I just found it to be a total mixed bag though, with it coming down on the 'less than' side of the equation. My recommendation is proceed with caution.
