About this listen
An Amazon Charts bestseller.
Near an isolated mansion lies a beautiful garden.
In this garden grow luscious flowers, shady trees...and a collection of precious “butterflies” - young women who have been kidnapped and intricately tattooed to resemble their namesakes. Overseeing it all is the Gardener, a brutal, twisted man obsessed with capturing and preserving his lovely specimens.
When the garden is discovered, a survivor is brought in for questioning. FBI agents Victor Hanoverian and Brandon Eddison are tasked with piecing together one of the most stomach-churning cases of their careers. But the girl, known only as Maya, proves to be a puzzle herself.
As her story twists and turns, slowly shedding light on life in the Butterfly Garden, Maya reveals old grudges, new saviors, and horrific tales of a man who’d go to any length to hold beauty captive. But the more she shares, the more the agents have to wonder what she’s still hiding...

If you could sum up The Butterfly Garden in three words, what would they be?
Strong Female LeadWho was your favorite character and why?
Bliss, she has attitudeWhat about Lauren Ezzo and Mel Foster ’s performance did you like?
Despite the American accent (which I usually can't stand) the narrators show the emotion and seriousness of the bookDid you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
It gave me nightmares, some scenes are very disturbing. However, there are also strong senses of companionship, trust and friendship.Any additional comments?
Well worth a listen, as long as you aren't too disturbed by distressing scenes including children.Gripping but disturbing

Packed full of detail and story and well thought out all the way through to till end where it just fell a little short. A little rushed almost. But still worth the 5stars as it was a great listen.
Kept me listening till the end!

Would you consider the audio edition of The Butterfly Garden to be better than the print version?
I haven't read the print version but had heard really good things about it so decided to try this. I was not disappointed at all, it was captivating.Who was your favorite character and why?
Maya is a quirky character very deep and mature for her age, but she still has an innocence about her despite her hardened exterior. She's had a very non standard / brutal upbringing so far which has made her very matter of fact about things that happen to her and others.Have you listened to any of Lauren Ezzo and Mel Foster ’s other performances? How does this one compare?
No but I'm certainly game to as they did a great job.Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I was engaged from the get go as the story and narration are very captivating. Although a twisted tale, its so beautifully told you feel like you are being drawn into the tale and the unusual way in that it is told waiting to see what happens next.Any additional comments?
I can't wait to listen to the next ones in the series now, I hope they are as good as this.Unusual twisted tale, beautifully told.
