Summary
Hours after rejecting the Corrowa People’s native title claim on Brisbane’s Meston Park, Justice Bruce Brosnan is brutally murdered in his home. Days later, lawyers against the claim are also found dead.
Aboriginal people were once prohibited from entering Brisbane’s city limits at night, and Meston Park stood on the boundary. The Corrowa’s matriarch, Ethel Cobb, is convinced the murders are the work of an ancient assassin who has returned to destroy the boundary, but Aboriginal lawyer Miranda Eversely isn't so sure. When the Premier is kidnapped, the pressure to find the killer intensifies....

A few flaws, but a good read
Overall I enjoyed this book, it certainly opens your eyes to the struggles of Aborigines both in keeping their land and traditions, but also of how they battle against the prejudices that still exist. It is also fair in that it acknowledges the flaws of some Aborigines with alcohol and gambling.
The government and law are corrupt in this story, with the good guys trying to right the wrongs of others, often by murder! At times the story didn’t seem to flow and jumped around suddenly from different characters storylines this also happened in the past to present storylines, which was confusing,but very well narrated

Thought provoking but a bit confusing at times.
I liked the underlying story and really was rooting for the right thing to happen. I guess life doesn’t always work out like that! I found it a little confusing at times, flitting back and forth which (for me) when listening rather than reading can be hard to follow.
