Summary
Too close...
The site of the old campus bungalow where two girls were brutally slain is now a flower patch covered with chrysanthemums. It's been 50 years since the Immaculate Conception Murders. Three more students and a teacher were killed in a sickening spree that many have forgotten. But there is one person who knows every twisted detail...
To see...
Hannah O'Rourke and her volatile half-sister, Eden, have little in common except a parent. Yet they've ended up at the same small college outside Chicago, sharing a bungalow with another girl. Hannah isn't thrilled - nor can she shake the feeling that she's being watched. And her journalism professor, Ellie Goodwin, keeps delving into Hannah and Eden's newsworthy past...
The danger...
When Hannah and Eden's arrival coincides with a spate of mysterious deaths, Ellie knows it's more than a fluke. A copycat is recreating those long-ago murders. Neither the police nor the school will accept the horrific truth. And the more Ellie discovers, the more she's convinced that she won't live to be believed...

Good Book
I loved this book. I don't usually do reviews, but I came across a poor review of this book. It mentioned the person only reading 1 chapter and that the book wasn't anything like the description. If they would have gotten further, they would have realized that, not only was this a good book, but that the "unrelated" 1st chapter was part of the bigger picture. Great story and good narration.

Very disappointed
The story was good if I could’ve listen to the whole thing. Ann Marie Lee‘s voice was too timid I could not hear it even with my headset turned all the way up and my volume on my phone turned all the way up it was very disappointing. I listen to audiobooks because I drive a truck and if I can’t hear it then what good is it! What a waste

Where’s the book from the summary???
I made it through exactly one chapter. The narration is awful and nothing correlated to the description given ( which is obviously the reason I purchased it ). Two grown brothers in Oregon on a trip with their significant others. This is not what was described at all. Spare yourself a huge disappointment. Awful breathy narration. No thank you.

Bad narration of a great story
I don't care for her as a narrator. She's got a whiny voice that is grating. I much prefer a male narrating Kevin Obrien's books. He's such a good author but the story can be ruined by a bad narrator. I bought the Bad Daughter as well and am almost dreading listening to it because of her.

Well written mystery
I always enjoy Kevin O’Brien’s writing. This continuation of the O’Rourke family’s complicated story was especially well written. Ann Marie Lee did a fine job narrating, but I personally feel that she would be better suited for other genres.

Good story, awful narrator.
Kevin O’Brien is one of my favorite authors, I love his books. I enjoyed this pot line, it’s the first time I’ve read a sequel by him, so that was fun! But holy cow I could NOT handle this narrator. She’s way too dramatic. Her high voice and breathy gasps were so annoying, it took me a while to finish this because I couldn’t listen to her for long increments.
