Summary
- Join a Growing Movement: Learn how you can join a global movement to redefine success in business, led by well-known icons like Patagonia and Ben & Jerry's, disruptive upstarts like Warby Parker and Etsy, and recently covered by The New York Times, The Economist, The Wall Street Journal, Inc., and Entrepreneur.
- Build a Better Business: Drawing on best practices from 100+ B Corps , this book shows that using business as a force for good can help distinguish your company in a crowded market, attract and retain the best employees, and increase customer trust, loyalty, and evangelism for your brand.
More than 1,000 companies from 80 industries and 35 countries are leading a global movement to redefine success in business. They're called B Corporations - B Corps for short - and these businesses create high quality jobs, help build stronger communities, and restore the environment, all while generating solid financial returns.
Author and B Corp owner Ryan Honeyman worked closely with over 100 B Corp CEOs and senior executives to share their tips, advice, and best practice ideas for how to build a better business, and how to meet the rigorous standards for - and enjoy the benefits of - B Corp certification.
This book makes the business case for improving your social and environmental performance, and offers a step-by-step "quick start guide" on how your company can join an innovative and rapidly expanding community of businesses that want to make money and make a difference.

An interesting book about using business for good!
The book goes over the benefits of becoming B-Corp certified with many examples of successful companies. Ryan Honeyman wrote and reads the book well in the Audible version.

this book is an advertisement
I'm disappointed to say that this book is largely an advertisement for VA benefits Corporation Foundation and offers very little in the way of actual information about good being done for community and individuals by benefit Corporation more practical advice about how to become a benefit Corporation

not very informative
What would have made The B Corp Handbook better?
serve as a guide to start the process of a b corp; the title is deceiving
What could Ryan Honeyman have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
stop providing repetitive feelings about how wonderful a b corp is and instead provide information that is useful
What aspect of Ryan Honeyman’s performance would you have changed?
nothing
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The B Corp Handbook?
cut OUT all of the repetitive opinions of CEO/COO/CFO/Etc...i felt like he was trying to sell/brainwash me on the idea. I was sold on the idea, prior to purchasing the book

This is why authors shouldn't read their books
Is there anything you would change about this book?
The author read this book. His diction was difficult, guttural. No sense of diction, monotone, I actually couldn't finish listening t it. Which is really too bad because it is a good read.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
yes
