Summary

The Atlas Complex marks the much-anticipated, heart-shattering conclusion in Olivie Blake's trilogy that began with the internationally bestselling dark academic phenomenon, The Atlas Six.

Only the extraordinary are chosen. Only the cunning survive.

An explosive return to the library leaves the six Alexandrians vulnerable to the lethal terms of their recruitment.

Old alliances quickly fracture as the initiates take opposing strategies as to how to deal with the deadly bargain they have so far failed to uphold. Those who remain with the archives wrestle with the ethics of their astronomical abilities; elsewhere, an unlikely pair partner to influence politics on a global stage.

And still the outside world mobilizes to destroy them — while the Caretaker himself, Atlas Blakely, may yet succeed with a plan foreseen to have world-ending stakes. It’s a race to survive as the six Society recruits are faced with the question of what they're willing to betray for limitless power — and who will be destroyed along the way.

Great narration and cast but unsatisfying ending

The voice performances were excellent. The book itself uses so many words to say a whole lot of nothing, much like the two previous books in the series. The ending of this series goes out of its way to deny every possible emotional payoff for the audience. I would not recommend the book to my worst enemies, but I would recommend checking out the audiobook narrators in other projects because they were all great.

Poor ending But voice actors amazing

Felt like 3/4 of this book is just rambling and what I thought would be a big pay off in the end too such an anti climactic finish. The direction is terrible which is such a shame as I really enjoyed book 1 & 2 nd one slightly

Disappointing

I didn't enjoy this one I had read the other two and was looking forward to it, maybe it would have been better to read it myself.

The end

Words cannot express how disappointed I am at the ending of this series. It could have been so good. There was way too much rambling for the first 10 hours. Yes correct I said 10 hours talking and forming alliances. And the she just starts killing off certain characters. It could have been so much more. Anti climactic.

Far too long

Such a poor end to the trilogy. Too long, confusing and boring. I found that I couldn’t give a damn about any of them and just wanted it to end! Sad show, will stay with me for all the wrong reasons, blah!

What’s going on?

It felt like it was written just to fulfil an obligation for a third book. Enjoyed the previous 2 but this was just all over the place!

Narrators are amazing, story is confusing and pointless

The first book in this series was so good, but the next two I really struggled to get through and didn’t pay attention to large sections of it…there was a lot of rambling, there almost seemed to be no point to the story. I really wanted to get emotionally invested in the characters but felt I wasn’t able to because of the seemingly randomly and confusing changing storylines. Narrators did an excellent job and are the only reason I finished this, I wish I’d stopped after the first book.

Disappointing

After loving the first novel in this trilogy and enduring the blandness of the second, I had high hopes that this third installment would answer all of the loose ends of the first two and give a satisfying ending. Sadly, this was not the case. This book comes across as chaotic, indecisive and hectic. While I can agree with the author's message whether intentional or not, that love in its many forms is complex and that human nature is often selfish, the way in which the characters become overly entangled just came across as indecisive and led me to become less engaged with them. A very disappointing end to the trilogy and one I'm sadly glad is done.

Don’t do it

Not worth your time. The series is a slow burn character driven story… but there isn’t much of a story.

Awful conclusion, not bother even if you're a completionist

Honestly the last several hours of the audiobook are just utter rubbish. So much build up just for no pay off at all. The last like 4 hours of the audiobook is basically one long epilogue for stuff no one cares about.
First two books were great, but honestly this isn't worth it.
Positive point is, as always, the cast are great voice actors.
